I think most people agree that JL is garbage, but some find it entertaining and some hate it. I think it's more entertaining than the last 3 DCEU films.

GotG.. Everyone loves that guy but really he was just another angry villain who wanted world domination.

You talking about Ronan or Ego? Either way I don't recall there being any lovefests for either character. I thought the general consensus was that both were just more bad Marvel villains (I thought they were for the most part, anyway).

There were already large sections of this movie with dialogue comparable to a cartoon.

Ego is more memorable at least, I tend to forget Ronan was in the MCU at all until someone points it out.

Oh it’s totally watchable but with zero depth the entire plot is literally good guy punch bad guy, the end.

The business story behind it is where you will find all the depth and intrigue lol.

It's got the same amount of plot that other movies do. Evil guy wants to take over a world and make it his own. A little movie called Lord Of The Rings had the same basic concept. Except instead of trying to get a ring the main baddie was trying to get 3 boxes. If you break down most action movies it's pretty much good guy punch bad guy, the end.

From passable to unwatchable.....

well just to put my two cents in

just got back from my second viewing ,

and i thoroughly enjoyed it , much better second time round with the weight of expectation lifted off

could it have been better ,yes of course it could

but for me it got me to buy the art book ,the Mattel figures and car the jakks big figs the t shirts and ill be happy to buy whatever figures hot toys put out plus the blu ray and i had a great couple of hours of entertainment in the cinema with my kids

so mission accomplished and good enough and roll on the next one as far as im concerned

Comparing JL to LOTR

LOTR trilogy are probably my favorite films. I am not comparing them per se. Just stating that JL did have a plot and it was about the same plot that many other films have.
