Whedon had the same problem with Captain America in the original Avengers and handled him just as badly as Batman in Justice League. But then in AoU and Civil War Whedon and the Russos just said "**** it Cap can go toe to toe with Ultron and Spider-Man now," and Cap's usefulness in high powered brawls was no longer an issue, lol.

No kidding. Spider-Man is ten times stronger then captain America and fought the whole avenger team once. Any blow Spider-Man delivered should of caused extreme damage. Also ultron was super depowered in the movie. Got his *** kicked by every avenger

Mission Impossible 6 better be good :lol

Not that bad Cavill mouth CGI was solely responsible for how crap Justice League was

They did a better job of covering Caesar Romero’s mustache on the old Batman tv show. Yes, you could still see the mustache, but at least it looked like he had a real face.

Ok I understand they had to remove the mustache.....
But why they did also do his chin? and teeth? :lol:lol Unless they couldn't just remove the mustache alone and had to redo the entire mouth, but why the chin?

they should have been able to just do the upper lip

Yeah Cap in The Avengers was definitely better than Batman in JL now that I think about it. What was Batman's plan at the end again? Just to have everyone randomly attack the bad guys individually? Whereas Cap's plan would have actually stopped the attack full stop had Thor only followed orders and stuck to his post in bottle necking the portal with lightning until Loki's machine was destroyed. I just hate that damn suit, the fact that he was played as a bit of a fish out of water doofus, and that he sucked so badly in combat that Iron Man had to rescue him from a single rogue SHIELD agent with a gun. :slap

Pretty sure he just phoned in the re-shoots because it obvious garbage.

But yea, went from the best thing in BvS to the worst in JL.

Yeah, I think Affleck did the best he could with the material he was given, but it seems the majority of Batman’s screen time was written mostly for laughs (Okay Whedon, we get it-Batman doesn’t have super powers).

I'm not sure which is more mystifying, why the moustache CGI was so bad or why they couldn't just pay off Cavill (or the studio) to shave it.

no, you got it all wrong
Tom Cruise Personally prohibited any changes to the mustache. their studio didnt want to ruin their movie with a crappy cgi mustache either
the removal of the mustache cost 25 million dollars....

the real question is, why was Joss Whedon such a hack that he didnt just buy a 2000 dollar Fake Beard and have Superman with a beard like in the comics.... because a fake beard would have looked much much natural than that abomination. they could have given him a little longer hair and beard like when he comes back from the dead with the black suit.
can you imagine how amazing and shocking and jaw dropping this could have been? he would look like a rock star

Yeah, a beard would have looked way better than that CGI face.

You could actually see the difference in his scenes with Snyder vs Weadon.

Although he was still good on that "he's better than me" when referring to Superman.

But that was the worst thing about JL. It ruined all the great stuff Zack put in the previous movies. The Visuals, tone and Ben Affleck were the best bits of BvS...

This is not even a fraction as good as the first avengers film, and I'm a DC fanboy. :lol

I'm a DC fanboy too, which is why I put it on the same level as AoU (which I liked BTW). And I rate BvS above CW.

Just a few things bug me about JL's inconsistencies with BvS:

  • Will the Knightmare sequence ever have a point?
  • Why did they need the Motherbox to resurrect Supes when it was already happening at the end of BvS?
  • Why did Luthor need to "ring the bell" when Steppenwolf was already aware of the Motherboxes' locations?

“I think it’s really simple: the characters aren’t cinematic, and I say this as a massive DC fan who much prefers their characters to Marvel’s. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are some of my favorites, but I think these characters – with the exception of Batman – they aren’t based around their secret identity, they are based around their super power. Whereas the Marvel characters tend to be based around the personality of Matt Murdock or Peter Parker or the individual X-Men. It’s all about the character. DC, outside of Batman, is not about the character. With Batman, you can understand him and you can worry about him, but someone like Green Lantern, he has this ring that allows him to create 3D physical manifestations and green plasma with the thoughts in his head, but he’s allergic to the color yellow! How do you make a movie with that? In 1952 that made perfect sense, but now the audience have no idea what that’s all about.

>People will slam me for this but I think the evidence is there. We’ve seen great directors, great writers and great actors, tons of money thrown at them, but these films aren’t working. I think they are all too far away from when they were created. Something feels a little old about them, kids look at these characters and they don’t feel that cool. Even Superman, I love Superman, but he belongs to an America that doesn’t exist anymore. He represents 20th Century America and I think he peaked then.”

Sorry but that's the dumbest thing I've read. None of the directors, producers or screenwriters never tackled big comic book stories in DC. They always made it goofy or campy. It wasn't until fairly recently that Nolan made Batman a respectable name again cause he saw the cinematic potential. Snyder tried to make Superman a dark and brooding character which he isn't and then shoved a whole bunch of story into one movie. JL was a rushed job.

Marvel characters bassically are the same damn characters as DC besides minor tweaks here and there. I bet no one thought Spiderman was cinematic and silly but here we are. I bet no one thought a movie about a man who is from world world 2 and walks around wearing a star spangled costume wouldn't be cinematic.
The marvel movies work cause love is put into them and respect. DC looks at these characters as jokes. If they can last through numerous tv shows and books than obviously they clicked with audiences for centuries.
