Re: Keaton Batman

Dave's like the Terminator, right now, we're all moving along like it's all passed, and out of nowhere, he'll rise from the flames to continue, stronger than before :) though with a slight limp haha.

:duff here's to Dave, we miss ya bro!

Re: Keaton Batman

The Alien and Robot forum seems quieter w/o him as well. He was an active dude, I have a feeling we'll see more of him.

Must refrain from making backdoor love comments... must be strong... don't want to be banned...

Re: Keaton Batman

Somehow, this derailment doesn't seem all that farfetched in a thread dedicated to a grown man running around in rubber tights lol.

Re: Keaton Batman

I've also got the original bare bones 89 batman DVD in the crappy cardboard case. I was wondering about the 2 disc set too.... I do love my extras on DVD's. behind the scenes stuff and visual effects stuff, on set stuff... interviews with directors or whatever. I love all the stuff that shows how something is made... or what went into it.

I guess I'll have to pick it up at some point :)

The two disk set is worth it just for the upgrade in the movie transfer and sound alone over the first release.

Re: Keaton Batman

it's a better quality image and sound too?? I thought it was just the same but with a disc of extras

if it's better quality then I'll definitely get it!

Re: Keaton Batman

Not too surprising with the improvements on the 2-disc set. The first release many of us have screams that it's one of the early DVDs ever made where the picture and sound just make you feel like they slapped whatever copy of the film was available on disc and sold it. Typically, not always, when a movie is put out on a 2 disc set, it's the optimized transfer. Not always true. Then you get into the Special Special editions like Scarface where it's already a good transfer and you wonder how much more it is or isn't worth to get. That's why I'm thankful for comments in here about the 2 disc Batman, on a whim, I wouldn't just buy it because I might end up wasting some cash, but sounds like it'll be well worth my investment.

Re: Keaton Batman

I have the best idea, finish regular tonight, enjoy the SE tomorrow :) I watched ALIENS over and over when I got my warrior, I enjoy some movies no matter how many times I see them in a row, Batman is one.

Well... what happened? You dig all the extras, the docs, etc.? Waiting... :lol

:( Forgot, Aflec came in for an insurance demo at lunch today so I couldn't sneak out, tomorrow for sure, I might go cookoo if I don't get out. Stupid duck, bet he never danced with The Devil in the pale moon light.

Re: Keaton Batman

I have the box set with all the 2-disc special editions. It's definitely worth picking up.

I saw it just last week, great transfer in "fat" 185 WS aspect ratio (my fave), great docs and extras.

I may have to watch it again when Keaton arrives! :rock
