Yeah that's an excellent breakdown of his character.

His, "No..no..no!" when X23 was walking towards him was hilarious and delivered perfectly

It's the kind of thing you would say to a an angry dog.

Exactly. He's like someone who trains pitbulls and knows the exact tone to make the dogs obey even though they could tear him to pieces. But if they do ever turn on him he's not stupid enough to fight them toe to toe.

If that's the case that's a huge win for Logan/Fox.

Poor WB, they just can't win.

WB can't win now but at least they'll forever have BB/TDK as part of their record. And now Fox beat the MCU to the punch of finally making their own film of that quality and with one of Marvel's own characters.

Glad to hear you guys are warming up to Holbrook.

He's always had tremendous charisma.

I'm pretty shocked at how effortless his screen presence came across compared to Leto and Eissenberg's villains. Him and Daniel Bruhl's Zemo are my two favorite cbm villains in recent memory.

I can think of two reasons.

1. Good script

2. They weren't trying to be bad or "evil."

Marvel has got to be happy....MCU is healthy and Wolverine is now healthy.

But I also have no problem saying that Logan is a better movie than my 6 favorite MCU movies (CW/TWS/Avengers/IM1/TFA/Thor1).

Logan might've just given the X-Men the boost it needs.

Yep. Great villains are supposed to support the story, not *be* the story, and too many studios/writers/actors are trying to force the next "Ledger Joker." But they forget that solid villains like Belloq, Toht, Krennic, Zemo, and Pierce can be just as effective without actively trying to steal every scene they're in.

Hopefully Jackman and Stewart land Nominations in January.

Hopefully Fox does a good job of reminding the academy of the film when that time comes. It's a long way off.

Yeah. The VVitch was one of the best films of 2016 but apparently was all but forgotten by the time award season came around.

Yeah, the campaigns should start in the Fall. Hopefully they use some of those gorgeous B&W stills Mangold shot for both Jackman and Stewart.

I expect nominations for both Hugh and Patrick. Then some indie film will come out of nowhere and scoop up all the awards because the topic is hot.

Lord please let Khev get emotional in the 3rd act on his 2nd viewing, Khev can't be like pturtle and only give this masterpiece an 8.5, he needs to be in the 9.8 range like jye and Snikt.


Also Lord please give a-dev strength and courage to see it again and one more thing Lord please send el cheapo kara a coupon to watch this before WW3 starts.

I can't remember which story it was from, but there was a time in the comics where Logan was basically completely vaporized down to just his skeleton and he regenerated.

It happened in Uncanny X-men Annual 11

It also happenened in Wolverine 48 when Nuke blasted him

Yep, just like I have no problem admitting that the best moments in Logan are almost as good as the weakest parts of Rogue One.
