Yeah, right. :lol
That's why there's a pointless meta comic book gag and a boring-childish-melodramatic third act.

Yeah, you didn't get it.

The X-Men comics and toys are in the movie to show that [in this new timeline] the X-Men became icons to the public and their adventures were serialized. Mangold got the idea from Saul Rubinek's character in Unforgiven who's serializing the adventures of the prominent gunfighters of the time.

And the third act was fantastic.

Yeah thankfully Logan DID NOT repeat the dreaded 3rd act mistakes of Wolverine/BB/IM1 which impacted their overall quality.

I was a little worried when I saw all those little brats because I didn't know if they would've been handled with as much care as X23 was but my fears did not come to fruition, the movie ended on a high note.

I would've been ok if he said bub, the movie wouldn't have felt less adult had he used it lol.

Sounds more artistic to say Unforgiven, but it's more likely he got it from Hellboy and Capt A

Indeed. :lol

And yes Jackman could have said "Bub," smoked a cigar, and even worn the costume without sacrificing the gritty drama. Cameron infused his hardcore Terminator and ALIENS flicks with a fair amount of levity and it didn't hurt those films (except "stand on one leg," that was just silly.) So if Uncle Bob can step outside to "Bad to the Bone" while people are being skewered left and right before a poignant final death/farewell then Logan could have easily said bub or whatever.

If Logan was lowered into molten steel, would he die?

It depends.

If his healing factor can keep up with the burns he could survive, as long as he's trying to escape.

If he just stays in molten steel, then he would probably die eventually, since his ademantium skeleton doesn't protect all his organs, and that's assuming the skeleton doesn't melt, but if it does melt, then his brain will also melt.

I can't remember which story it was from, but there was a time in the comics where Logan was basically completely vaporized down to just his skeleton and he regenerated.

I'm still not sure how I'd rate this movie yet.

On the one hand I do think it has the best acting of any cbm ever, better even than the Nolan movies because of Bale's silly Bat voice. The dialogue is also probably the best ever in a cbm. The cinematography is brilliant and the score was very well done.

However as good as the acting and dialogue were the story and emotional beats just weren't homeruns for me on my first viewing so even though Logan did a lot right on paper for now the whole might actually be a bit less than the sum of the parts, so to speak. We'll see how it plays after another viewing or two though I can't say I'm in a huge rush to see it again.

I will say that the film is fun to think about and talk about though. In the very least I see it being a very respectable "Alien 3" type entry even if for me it doesn't crack the Top 3 all time greatest cbm's or what have you.

There is a story line where Logan was a prisoner at a nazi camp and one of the Lt. order him killed, but he kept coming back. One way was setting him on fire completely. He came back just fine. Drove that guy mad. I think it was a one off story.

I remember everyone praising Fury Road yet Logan for me was the much better dystopian future movie.

Hell give Mangold Terminator Future War and Mad Max!
