Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

I thought Wolverine was a very good movie.
Hope this one sends Jackman out on a real high.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Origins is a cluster ****, but entertaining overall. The Wolverine was better in the sense it was at least coherent, but a lot of dull spots. I would assume Old Man Logan will at the very least better than the previous two, and from the looks of it better than Apocalypse.

Agreed on The Wolverine.

The opening in Hiroshima, the stuff in Canada, the legend of Hazuri, The fight with Shingen....

Its a great movie up until that third act.

The crazyness at the end brings it down a few points to just good.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

An excerpt from my Apoc review:

going to bring up Wolverine first, his helmet was so lol bad that I just couldn't take his scene seriously, it looked like he was wearing a Go Pro camera, all just so they could show his face. He really deserved his full helmet.

I now feel 100% confident saying that Jackman is just too tall to appropriately execute berserker rage, his action scene was just sloppy blade swinging and mostly done really poorly with him not in full view, it was just a mess of an action scene if you can even call it that.

At least his hair looked good! :lol

I'm now looking forward to his replacement, I know I know...doh!

Couldn't disagree with you more.

It was bloody perfect from the look to his moves to the camera work.

Not since X2 have we seen Jackman in full berserker mode and this time they got away with so much more blood and gore.

To say you found it "lol" is just proof that you don't like this franchise and should stick with the MCU.

People at my screening last night cheered for Weapon X.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

When he looked in the camera and he was wearing his go pro hat everyone laughed in my theater.

To each his own.

I loved it and the crowd last night did too.

Wish I had loved the whole movie.

I don't like Faraci, but he's right about Jackman's Wolverine. Can't wait for Disney to do the character justice...one day.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

The truth can have that side-effect sometimes :wave

The only truth here is that you subscribe to a bandwagon so moronic even when the wheels come off you still won't jump off.

Disney makes as many crappy CBMs as FOX does. Truth.

Now go watch THOR: TDW and lie to yourself about how much justice it did its characters.

They have also made more good films in 8 years than Fox in 16 years. Truth. Now go watch Crapocalypse again :wave

See, in the real world that I live in, its normal to like and dislike movies from any studio. Because I am not a producer on any of these movies, I have no reason to display bias.

People like you have brainwashed yourselves into thinking there is a reason and have began to worship Disney as an infallible movie maker.

The sad part is (and everything about people with your mindset is sad) is that even if you dared to criticize your precious MCU you would never have the courage to bash it. That shows just how pathetic the MCU bandwagon is.

Even the filmmakers behind some of Disney's **** movies have spoken out against them (Alan Taylor disowned THOR: TDW, Whedon cited studio interference for AOU's mediocrity, Shane Black revealed toys and fear of pissing off Asians led to a **** Mandarin and Killian, etc).

If one day you decide to be an adult again with your approach to watching movies, you'll realize life is a lot easier when you're not betting on one horse to win and simply watch the race without any real concern over any of the horses.

Disney, FOX, Warner Bros...all studios capable of great feats and missed opportunities. Fact.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Well said SNIKT, but no one here that I see blindly follows a studio. :dunno

Well. except Ink, but he's a cool cat :lol

The poster I was responding to does, as do alot of other people on here.

Except that few people here are more critical of Disney/MCU than me, so you are either new around here, or you just like making assumptions...like saying that an Antman film that was never made by Edgar Wright would have been "transcendent" and better than the film that came out last year, but hey, I guess erroneous assumptions comes as a result of living in the real world for too long :lol
