You have Feige to thank for Civil Skirmish and its absurd jerry-rigged conflict between the heroes.

According to the Russos they originally pitched adapting Civil War but were shot down by Feige. Then when BvS was announced he relented and allowed them to make the film that they wanted.

What do you mean nothing happened in Civil War? We see how Tony's parents died, we got the break up of the Avengers, we see the responsibility of being a superhero and set the stage for a comeback after a nasty argument. Like make up sex nothing is better when heroes make up after a disagreement. Look at the action we got in BVS once they made up. A sweet wharehouse scene and a nice battle with a half naked Amazon and a cave troll! Imagine the battle in Infinity War!
