So according to you and snikt, movies cannot be criticized anymore?
You can only either Super love a movie or super hate it? Is that it?
No in between? just the two extremes?

So we can only give it a 1 or give it a 10?

Well said

TLJ 8.8.

Nobody ate vibranium in the movie. Same can be said about putting steroid juice on a skinny guy and suddenly he’s big and can fall on his shield multiple times from hundreds of feet in the air and live. **** never made sense. Don’t know all of sudden we have to discuss realism for a movie with a guy in a cat suit who drinks flower powers to make him
Strong . Lol.

I mean it isn’t a perfect movie I get that but now people are questioning vibranium and it’s uses. Vibranium always had dumb **** happen. They are just following the comics.

My point being internal logic in fantasy. Super soldier serum is designed to do one thing. Iron Man’s cave armor uses provided resources for one desperate goal.

Vibranium is bullet proof, energy absorbing, spine healing(?!), mass shifting space metal...G1 Megatron blushes at it’s properties.

Ok, tell me what the point of the movie is
Please i beg you.
You either tell us what the point is or you lose the argument to junki

My man since the beginning all your post have been is showing the racial tension this movie has and the negative light it reflects and you stated that you don’t like the movie. You said you hated the movie. Like it’s not hard to see you don’t like this movie and like I told you before that’s ok but I find it weird that you overlook the dumb **** in the other avengers movies and not this one.

Also do t start that crap about movies not being criticized like the last Jedi thread. You know I don’t care about that. I just want to know why you overlook the silly moments in the mcu over this.

I mean like I said they are only following the comics. That’s what it did in the comics. I don’t know if they ever explain why it does these things.

BP is a story of two men who want to be king. They are both deserving yet they are both lacking something crucial to properly rule Wakanda: each other. Via their rivalry, they will both grow and learn that there is more to the throne than just that which they bring with them from their respective pasts.

Killmonger couldn't embrace anything new, and in not being able to T'Challa learned to.

^that's Ryan Coogler's Black Panther.

All that bull**** you listed in your last post is irrelevant.

I don’t argue with your thematic summary. Too bad we had to sit through all that irrelevant ******** I posted. Because all of that is also Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther.

Was anyone else scared by the plate lip guy? How does he does eat? Is it stuck in there?

Following the comics or diverging is a decision. It doesn’t make an element more or less believable or justified. It’s all bs but IMO BP is less successful at suspending disbelief.

Yeah, Killmonger didnt change his point of view AT ALL till his death....
AT ALL
Yes He even chose death over living under T'Challa.
Sure they respected each other by the end but killmonger learned nothing.
He was willing to kill his own people to achieve his goal of world dominance.

But im not sure killmonger taught T'Challa that much since the speech of opening their borders came from his girlfriend first.

If anything it was his girlfriend that put those seeds into his mind.
It was the fear of losing her that made him change his mind

At the end before they kiss he even tells her he knows how to help her stay in wakanda and fulfill her destiny...

T'Challa even told his dad that his reason for going back to life was to stop the monster his dad created. To stop the murders to come.
I seriously dont think killmonger was meant to teach him anything like that.

He just taught him to be stronger and stand against tyranny

In a perfect world T'Challa and Killmonger would rule Wakanda together. But the world isn't perfect so one of these incredibly worthy men had to die. Its both tragic and beautiful, and completely unusual for an MCU movie.

Leave it to Ryan Coogler to bring this level of depth and heart to a franchise mostly devoid of it.

Yeah so i didnt give any praise to this movie. I never said anything positive...
Nothing positive at all.

Again quote the post where i said i HATED the movie. Everyone is waiting. Quote it hedgehog

I don’t know how metal is even supposed to do all those things. Or how they even got that rich unless they sold some vibranium for money.

I can’t speak for Khev or JAWS but I definately don’t think BP is a bad movie.

Certainly better than DS that’s for certain.

If I hated BP I would have stopped posting in this thread long ago. As Clooney said in From Dusk Till Dawn "I may be a ******* but I'm not a ****ing *******." ;)

The cast in this film was awesome. With a lesser cast this would have been no better than the SW PT but they all elevated their respective scenes on the strength of their collective charisma and talent to the point where it actually felt like a decent flick for most of it running time. So kudos to all of them for that. I just couldn't help but feel like the film was a let down because it's moments of greatest weakness were sadly those that should have punctuated the drama the most.

WHAT THE HELL

this movie is garbage!!!!! :rotfl:rotfl now i get why snikt is praising it so much :rotfl:rotfl HES BEING IRONIC

OMFG I HATE this movie now!!!

Here you go crows. Grace is mine now. Don’t talk to her ever again

I just think is funny to talk about the problems of the movie. Since 90% of the internet thinks this is the new citizen kane

Yeah, man, I think like Junkion you missed the point of the film hence why you failed to make an emotional connection with all the themes and dramatic beats.

I suggest you rewatch it and try to see the film through the parallel between Erik and T'Challa. Maybe there you'll find the message Coogler was trying to convey to you, instead of focusing on just the action.

This is not an action movie.

You cant quote one of my sarcastic jokes, whats the matter with u boi. I havent seen the movie then :lol

I didn't know it was a sarcastic joke and you didn't see the movie then? So I was right you didn't see it til later. See now I have to pass judgement upon you.

I honestly thought you'd be the last person to defend this movie. i thought you'd try and fight everyone in the theater.
