I only have the Med Bay upgrade left for the ship. I'm gonna do it, but not until I get all the other weapons upgrades first. Do any of you OCD searchers know of planets that have a lot of the "Dark Matter" on it??

~~I'm already planning on replaying it because stupid me just picked the Soldier class to play through and its not as fun as the videos for the other classes that I've seen.
It is cool to have Miranda do a Pull on an enemy then have Shepard do an Adrenaline Rush so I can get crazy shots on the helpless target while they're floating around in the air.

Yea, to upgrade everything 100%, I don't think you have to do EVERY planet to depletion.

No, you don't. Not at all. In fact, I have only depleted ONE planet entirely and I have every upgrade except the Med Bay Facility for scars. And I could get that one by mining another 22,000 Platinum which wouldn't be too hard. But probably not worth the time.

Yeah, it's not required to scan even half of the available planets to get the upgrades you want and need, but I do it anyway.

I'm playing my ME2 character Vanguard. Perhaps that's why it's pretty difficult; but I figured it would be easier with a level 26 character, then starting with a level 1 character of another class. If you play Insanity with a new character, do you start out at level 1??? If so, that would seem pretty impossible.

A level 26 on insanity is more difficult than one would expect since you lose your weapon and armor upgrades. You will start off fighting high level insanity enemies with no oomph to your weapons or valuable protection. Being a vanguard makes it even harder. Using charge will often get you killed and getting close enough to use your shotgun is problematic to say the least. It seems a lot of people use either an infiltrator (better killing) or sentinel (better survivability) for insanity runs.

For those that want to see the Liara story, the 4 issue comic is doing that. Issue one hit a couple of weeks (included in the Collector edition)

Its pretty good...I was bummed she didnt come, or ashley. That said, thank goodness for Garrus and Tali

I have yet to get to the part in the story where Miranda seems to seduce Shep (from the trailer). Hope the game didnt skip it cause I am the female Shep.....that would be a bummer....(ahem)

Are you sure you lose the weapons and armor upgrades with a new playthrough???? I have all my weapons from the weapon changer and I'm in the middle of helping Mordin so I can get access to the science lab on the Normandy. Obviously, I can't know for sure until I had Mordin on the Normandy.

You can use Shepard's hub by the galaxy map to check what upgrades you currently have. I'm certain you will need to repurchase upgrades. I don't recall if the armor pieces will need to be repurchased. Found weapons do transfer (not sure about heavy weapons).

Well beat the game and i lost some very importan people but the game was awsome either way. Still got plenty of survivors tho.

ironwez, no offense, but I find it unbelievable (and astounding) that, 6 hours ago, you did not know how to scan for minerals/resources and now somehow you've managed to finish the game. You've even asked the same question here on numerous occasions.

Granted, I guess it's not necessary to know how to scan a planet in order to progress through the game, but it's the easiest thing you can do, and if you couldn't do that, how'd you manage doing anything else?

Mind boggling. :lol

I think someone mentioned something about this a little while back but thought I would post it anyway.

All I have to say is this game franchise better be turned into a movie franchise at some point.

Why do people want a great gaming franchise to be turned into a mediocre film franchise?

I've never understood that. Mass Effect and its sequel are some of the most cinematic, film-like experiences you can have in video games. They're like the best sci-fi movies you can imagine, except you can interact with them! And they can last over 20 hours!

Why would anyone want to ruin that by attempting to condense it into a film? The film world already has Mass Effect equivalents (i.e. Star Trek, SW, etc etc).

I'm glad the game is a success, though.

I agree with you somewhat but if done right it can be a great movie franchise as well. It doesn't have to be mediocre if it has good people working on it. Yes I love my video games but I love movies too and I think this could end up being an epic movie franchise as well.

I know it doesn't need to be turned into a movie but it would be awesome if it was and it was done well. I just feel the story is too good not to be made into a movie. Yeah content would have to be cut but the same can be said about novels, so I think it could still work.

Who says they need to condense it? The can make Parts 1-10 to cover the first game, and 11-20 to cover the second one.

NO. No movies or TV show, please. No way Hollywood would get it right. Besides, MASS EFFECT 2 was better than 99.9% of the films I saw this year, including the one that spawns blue freakazoids.

Finished the game tonight. Amazing.

True, but you might as well just play the games. The bigger issue is that Hollywood seems incapable of making a good video game movie.

That's just due to them treating them as cash cows at the moment, low investment, easy return. Eventually, they'll get to the level of comic movies where they put actual quality production crews and writers on board and pump out a few hits.

I don't care what anyone says though, the Dead or Alive movie was way better than the games.
