So many people who are against "assault rifles" know nothing about them. They fire single shot like any other rifle, the .223 round is actually less deadly then most hunting rifles. And more people are bludgeoned to death OR are stabbed with knives each year then are killed by assault rifles. And the winner of what weapon is responsible for the most homicides each year, more than all others combined. THe pistol, which you're ok with.

Guns don't bother me in any way, as long as they are legally obtained. Criminals will get guns no matter what. If we tried to ban them, it would make it harder for people to get them... but the criminals will always have them.
