Also HEROES.

He was very popular indeed, and the only reason we were able to spend so much time with him was because, we caught him on the Friday night preview evening. Saturday was insane and Sunday was only a little better. He was never not talking or signing, taking over the table photos or going off for his photo-shoots. When the girl, his assistant at his table, saw the opened box-window, she went "Ooooher! That's very smart, I'll bet that set you back £60-70!"

I bit my tongue, smiled and said..."Quite a few pounds actually" Bless her, she was only young.

Really happy for you, man. I'll check if he's attending the conventions I'll visit next month -- might as well bring even just the sleeve and the base of my HT Snake Eyes for him to sign. Does he charge for autographs? I admire celebrities who make fans happy by chatting/posing with them despite their agents/bodyguards being overprotective.

It's nice to see photos of him being friendly with fans.
Can't wait for my Legend. :clap

Also, can't seem to find good-priced medi mauls loacally. :lol

Oh, man. I guess you came in a little late. Just last November there were like 2 or 3 sellers selling Medi Maul 2.0 MISB between $120-$150 over at the OSR-BuySellTrade on Facebook. I was lucky to get the cheapest one along with a MIB Reeve Superman for the same price, from the same seller.

The overprotectiveness aspect varies from helper to helper. Some are fine if the actor wants to. Some are real jerks who go mad with a bit of power. I've seen 'helpers' talk to their guest star like they were dirt, so much so that at that same show an American actress said to her belligerent helper "Shut up and don't ever talk to me like that, I'll do whatever I want" The rude 'helper' fumed but could do nothing.

Mostly though, it is to do with the fact that there are paid for 1-2-1 photoshoot you can buy at £10-30 per shot (approx depending on the guest). So every time Ray did a pose over the table, he was doing himself down by about $30 each time. He has done these events before so he knew the set-up...he just posed anyway. :hi5: :yess:

I have SSC Darth Maul. Got a NIB Exclusive(inclusive) off ebay. Haven't had taken him out yet. He looks cool.

However, I'm seriously thinking about getting this one too. At first I wasn't going to, but he looks amazing. I have one question. I've heard of the "Giraffe" neck, and I was wondering is it on this version that's on SSC right now, or was that the old version? Are they the same version?

Neck is the same. The body is also weak just like before. The knee keeps splitting, the back is hollowish, nothing like the ht bodies. But to be honest with the coat on the neck is not that visible. Having said that, the head sculpt is way too awesome.

Yeah, it looks awesome.

Still worth full retail?

I try to buy full retail and mint unless the difference in cost for anything is 3x more... For instance i wld buy something rare and out of budget for less if used available. But when you are getting a mint one, why cut corners. I bought from bbts - i think it was 10 odd dollars less.

Yeah, I was thinking of BBTS or SSC still has him up for sale.

Good friends do not have to be bad life in other parts of the maul buy sideshow. This is my version reisue medicom maul, do not see the giraffe neck. to be the final maul only have to do this:

-The left ear earring I put it with a pin seam (insert only).

-Sand the saber to put thinner at the ends.
-Saber-Repaint details like buttons and frames. red and black.
-The belt black leather did snipping, rivets belt with flat pins, the saber clip it away from the original that brought, and two pins for closing seams.

-The base of MDF painted with matt black spray.

** And at the end the final maul without buying another figure.

Still one of my favorite SW figures. (I sold the other 2 SSC versions I had.)

Well amongst the multitude of problems that SW:TPM was loaded with, one of the few times that film came alive is when the Jedis were doing what Jedis (and Sith) can do. Sadly, it's only then that the film really showed what potential it could really have had. And Ray Park's Darth Maul was a strong factor in that.

The series doesn't even maintain it's own internal momentum, to the extent where one of these magical, super-gifted, meta-person Jedi can be overcome by a guy with a gun?

Now, had GL turned his story ideas over to someone who knew how handle them and to write a decent screen treatment and then script out of them, things could and should have been very different. Sadly he had the evil Darth McCallum whispering in his ear assuring him of his omnipotent ability, as well as the ears of the Production Heads that "George will not tolerate hearing the words, no, don't, terrible, awful, hideous, insulting, nonsensical, but mostly he will not hear 'What the hell are Midichlorians?'...geddit?"

And dialogue, dear Lorne Bailey Jeebus, he is naff!

Recently bought a medicom darth maul on ebay. The damn thing fell apart today. Arm and leg broke off. What name brand body should I be looking for to best replace this with. And where would be the best place to find it?
