Hey, edwint. Before this thread gets either dusted or locked due to the personal attacks happening because of the same tired Medi vs SS debate I'll answer your question:
The first one that springs to mind is the Takara Batman. Even though it's one of the most expensive figures out there at $150+, it is definitely worth that, imho. Just an amazing figure that doesn't seem like a cheap toy in any way. As much as I love Sideshow, Hot Toys and Medicom stuff a lot of times they do come out very toyish (especially Medi)... not so at all with the Takara Batman.
Sideshow's best bargain, imho, is the Palpatine/Sidious 2-Pack. For $120, you get two very detailed and extremely well-done 1/6 figures with lots of accessories.
I paid $120 for my Medicom ROTJ Vader and I would say it's very worth it. I also think their X3 Wolverine figure was an awesome get for $90, as were their Spider-Man 3 figures.
Hot Toys is hit or miss as far as "value", but for the most part I usually feel more than comfortable with the pricepoints for their figures once I get them. For example, when the RE4 Leon figure was announced at $150 it really gave me pause. But once I got it in-hand I realized that is a more than fair price for a figure as detailed as this with such great clothing and accessories.
Conversely, I feel that the Medicom Maul is probably about $50 too much. I'm happy to have it, but I really don't feel like this is worthy of its $150 asking price. The Shocktrooper is a bit overpriced too, imho, but I felt better about springing $150 for that than I did Maul. Still both great figures, though.
In closing... Takara Batman for the win.
