Ok, I finally saw the Raiden picture. It's strange how Snake appears to the right, and Raiden to the left:
looks like raiden is wearing snake's bandana.
i wonder if this will be a 2 character/story game taking place in two different decades with plots that intertwine. just a thought...

doesnt have Raiden have blue eyes...im pretty sure he does. and those are not blue.

Went ahead and put both images together, Wasnt sure if I wanted their dissolve boxes to match up, or to get the heads at the same height. Went with boxes, cause otherwise guy would of been missing part of the top of his head.

Here's my theory just from what we know and are seeing...
Judging by his looks he is younger than when he was featured during MG and the Zanzibar Land Uprising, in which he already had gray hair. That took place in 1999. In 1972, Big Boss was found in a coma and his genes were used for the Les Enfants Terribles project. When his DNA was extracted for Les Enfants Terribles; Ocelot, speaking as Liquid, claimed Big Boss was in his late fifties when his DNA was extracted, but his gravestone implies he was born sometime in the 1930s; with the twin Snakes born in 1972, this makes him a maximum of 42 at the time...and he does appear to be in his 40s from the image. And Operation Intrude N313 (the first Metal Gear) takes place in 1995.
So this game must take place somewhere between 1972 and 1995. I banking that it's after he wakes up from the coma, but before the events of MG. Though I have no idea why a Raiden like image shows up in that timeline. Gray Fox wouldn't be a cyborg ninja yet because he wouldn't have fought snake yet...and thus is still alive. Raiden nor Sunny would have been born yet...
Which leads me to theorize that either...It is a Clone of Big Boss. Or perhaps Raiden was a clone of another soldier?

Hmm That almost looks too feminine (if that's even possible) to be Raiden.
Guys, I recant my previous position - I don't believe anymore that it is Raiden in that picture. What if that character that we're actually seeing is Sunny? A lot of people previously made mention that Raiden's eyes were blue, and Sunny's were brownish. Also, let's not forget that Olga (Sunny's mother) was the ninja in MGS 2. It's very possible that Olga may have passed down her ninja skills to Sunny...
I'm sorry, but that simply isn't possible.

I'm pretty sure the white haired character is raiden but what if it was raiden's biological father?? before being murdered by solidus , since that would fit in with big boss being alive....
