Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The United States money should stay in the United States, period. Keep everything here, cut the waste, no cuts to the military, and get NASA back on track.

I've been a conspiracy theorist in the past and I used to think there could be a group of people behind the government controlling things... nope... Government officials are too much wrapped up in their own BS and greed to really to really care about trying to pull the strings of the public.

There may have been a "Majestic 12" whom the Patriots are actually based off of. But now? Who the hell knows. There are Federal Reserve and Illuminati conspiracies to dwell over :panic:

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Come to think of it, PTSD was only really implemented in MGS4 as you said with the B&B unit. It should of been long present in all the Solid titles, it's a sad part of anyone serving.

Solid Snake did suffer from PTSD post MG2. It was documented in his profile and him being a recluse and all.

Well yeah. If you are going to start applying real world situations to a fictional character its not going to take you far. I had 2 cousins shot and one of my friends came home from a Tour of Iraq and hung himself because of what he witnessed. So i dont expect the game characters to be rooted in reality.

I agree. While I myself am not in the military, I personally know a handful of people who were just not the same anymore after the things they saw/went trough.

I never wanted MGS to have this gritty war theme going on. It's just silly for it to be in the series and quite frankly, quite insulting. should have been a new IP instead.

Well, MGS has already established itself as a gritty series, with all of the torture scenes, amputations, disturbing character stories and sexual innuendos. In fact, I found the torture scene in MGS 3 to be very disturbing the first time I saw it, and I couldn't sleep that entire night :lol.

I'd think that Kojima would push the "grit" even further, if he didn't have problems in Japan with censorship. Right now, he's trying too see how far he can go with MGS V without getting into trouble. With that said, the actual game might look nothing like "red band" trailer that we saw several weeks ago.

I agree with ya. But as violent as MGS went, there was always a fictional touch to the violence. While Snake getting tortured by Volgin might get to folks like you and me, my girlfriend can't help snicker to the fact that a man is getting tortured by sith powers. :lol

LOL

"Kuwabara, kuwabara..."

"What a beautiful body you have. Just like a new born baby..."

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Big Boss is also a fictional character

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Someone at Konami must have looked at the Big Boss vs. Solid Snake thread I created :rotfl.

Solid Snake gets my vote any day.

Kiefer Sutherland will replace David Hayter as the voice of Snake, though fans are convinced this is red herring.

No it's not. David Hayter went so far as to unfollow Kojima on Twitter.
