Hayter actually cares about his fans so I would say you would have a much better shot at getting a response.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

My biggest complaint back then was that it was another Big Boss milking and the Solid Snake fanbase wasn't really saying much at the time. But the whole Kiefer thing made it erupt.

You got too many guys in here that have invested almost 20 years of their lives with David Hayter. PW is pretty well hated in these parts, and from my perspective, aside from the torture it looks like it's going to be the same hokey Japanese crap that Kojima loves doing anymore in it. We just want Snake back, and we want to go back to basics and not Assassin's Splinter Redemption.

let me clarify by that you mean peacewalkers story was moot. i know you said the gameplay was good.

Peacewalker was a very lighthearted game. This game doesn’t even resemble it. This will be a lot more serious.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I have seen Hayter reply to lots of people on his Twitter. Give it a try.

Its that love for his fans that makes me think he would come back if asked even if he shouldn't.

Yes the gameplay is fun and a good MP game. The """""""""story"""""""""" was laughable.

It can be as serious as it wants, it's just more watering down of Big Boss's legend. Some things should stay untold.

At this point, aside from whacking the Boss I don't see anything that puts him over Snake's career.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

the point is were mad at another big boss game, that was the beginning. then, they drop the bomb on us about hayter/sutherland. this was after a really bad pw storyline. were fed up. its set in stone now.

It's most likely the case, that a lot of the stuff that we saw in the red band trailer will be edited out. KojiPro usually has to fall in line with the censors in Japan before their games are allowed for release. Just look at what happened to Rising...

Well now that he is making a return to consoles, and next gen, I think a lot of people will start being Big Boss fans after this game.

:exactly:

You nailed it.

Or Hideo might be a little busy working on this game. Unlike Hayter

He seems to have plenty of time to show off the food that he will turn into crap.

Even if some things are edited, the over ally story is more human, and of course dealing with a lot of taboos. The psp games felt like they were made by disney.

Your probably right but only because of the technical advances of the SS games and the last SS game being close to 6 years ago or more by the time this game comes out. If they had the choice it would likely be 50 50.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It's a moot point to say Big Boss will have more fans when he's the only one getting ****ing games :dunno

Big Boss should of stayed artwork and nothing more. His legend has been destroyed.
