Hayter's voice and portrayal have become so iconic and from I heard of Kiefer he isn't offering anything that will even come CLOSE to what Hayter hasn't already done.

IGN thought he was phoning it in, I think so too. He just sounds like Kiefer reading a script without anything else to it.

Kiefer is no where the plateau of Hayter's already established character of Big Boss.

The sad thing is, that Kojima has gotten so caught up into Hollywood, that he threw out Snake's voice actor, and replaced him with someone else who has zero emotional investment in this franchise. MGS is obviously not a priority for Kiefer, so it comes as no surprise that he'd prefer to phone in, and get it done with.

It's also funny how a lot of the Bauer defenders are not familiar with Kiefer in any way. They haven't seen 24 or any of his movies, but are basing their opinions solely on two lines that they heard from the MGS V trailer .
