Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I have to question, is Ground Zeroes even necessary at this point in time? The trailers gave away so many spoilers, and we already know the events that lead up to TPP.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I honestly, dont think we have a single clue at what the hell MGS5 has in store for us. I really think, really really think that something like 80% of the game could be Solid Snake in "metal gear" or something in the like is in store for us.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Phantom Pain, yes, but I think Ground Zeroes has become irrelevant since we know the major events that lead up TPP. I think it would probably be better if KojiPro released GZ as a small movie or something.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Even if we assume we already know the major plot points, I still want to play it, hear it, see it.

Not just see it.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

What is it with fans today that they're OK with replacing actors who have had the job for over a decade?

There's nothing with fans today, in Conroy's case, he will keep doing Batman in games and movies, not having him every once in a while is not a big deal, especially when both Troy and Roger are doing such a great job filling in.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Kojima could make it into a three-hour long cutscene. There were a few of those in MGS 4, if I recall correctly :lol.

In any case, I feel spoiled by Kojima. In his attempt to showcase the FOX Engine, he divulged way too much information than what was needed.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

less cutscenes for me .
playing MGS 4 i personally felt like watching Cutscenes than actually playing the game .. so being an open world is good enough for me, because getting from Point A to point B takes time

From what I understand the real purpose of GZ is to get players familiar with how the Phantom Pain will play. Adding the prologue story is just a bonus I guess, or a little milking if they plan on charging a lot for it.

Yeah, I guess so. I hope they don't charge too much, though, because it seems like a really small chapter.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It was Conroy and Hamill’s choice man. As long as the game is good I am happy.

No, it was WB. What softens the blow is that Conroy is currently doing Arkham 3, and has spent the past 9 months on the project. I can imagine that recording for both games would conflict with Conroy in regards to recording studio location, time etc. I can forgive that Conroy and Hamill are not in Origins due to this.

Kevin Conroy has stated on an episode of Fatman on Batman that he will be back as long as fans want him. Fortunately for all of us, Conroy's situation is totally unlike David Hayter's. Conroy is actually working on a game right now.

Hayter might be as well, everyone just needs to wait and find out. I can’t believe everyone thinks he isn’t part of the franchise anymore. All the trolling is making it obvious.

Kojima and Avi Arad both saying Sutherland is a notch ahead, Hayter acting like a Hayter all over the media, the fact Hayter just recently did the voice acting in the novels.

Hayter might not be playing Big Boss in this game, but he will be back in a cameo or something I am sure of.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

the fact Hayter just recently did the voice acting in the novels.

That is incorrect. Those novels were recorded way back in 2007/08 and the English dub was kept in archives pending release due to the PSP MGS2 project that fell apart.

Oh really? I heard they were recently done.
