Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

:exactly:
Anyway, anyone think we may get a Collector's Edition for MGS V? I'm hoping that it'll include PAK Big Boss, or something else cool like Rising's does

Also on the Quiet cosplayer and the other girl posted a page before this:
11/10 would bang

Theres nothing to like about this man, yet you want the collectors edition to the game he’s making :cuckoo:

There is "nothing to like" until the games comes out and everybody loses their minds.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You can still dislike a creator and what he's doing with a franchise, but still appreciate it and the legacy from where it originated; before things started to go downhill. Ever heard of Star Wars, tortoise?

No he's Kojima-God, were all supposed to fall in line.

Yup, but please refresh my mind, which Metal Gear Solid ruined the franchise and isn’t critically acclaimed again?

They're all acclaimed, but critics are stupid and they're no gauge to measure a game anyway. If you're going by critic's numbers, you need to wake up since they're all paid off.

I used to think Famitsu was the best at numbering games, but they've obviously started taking payments and scoring games well beyond their value.

Its all story wise, thats a very subjective topic.. there isn't something actually BROKEN there... then again, there are still making call of duty games and that is just the retardest videogames franchise ever created, every single game is the same and people buy it.

same with IGN and many others, but its not always like that can't live without trusting anyone

MGS is getting that COD feel lately. Nothing but overly excited fanboys behind it. And if you criticize the direction of the franchise and the creator you're just a "hater." I'm betting most of these fanboys think the Star Was prequels are actually good.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

This isn't ****ing YouTube or Facebook :lol. I'd like for SSF to be the one outlet where I can criticize MGS - now that the Official PSU MGS forum us defunct.

MGS pages on Facebook have the biggest ******* I've ever seen. Every other comment is "bring back Hayter." And the responses are...

"get over it"

"Kojima knows what he's doing."

ETC ETC

True, but like Gap said, a handful of the fans actually hate Kojima and what he’s doing or has done with the series. So I don’t see a real comparison with Star Wars.

Maybe Metal Gear Solid 4 isn’t as good as MGS1 but its still one of the best games to come out this gen. Where as Star Wars prequels were absolute garbage.

MGS4 is still better than the hokey prequels following MGS3. Kojima is stuck in this void where he's trying to recreate Snake Eater multiple times over.

What Pliss said.

And by the, this seems like déjà vu. I have better things to do with my Sunday afternoon than argue pages on end with a tortoise :lol.

Well I can't judge that since most people I know that say "the star wars prequel suck" are not reliable, they just follow the herd... :lol

The difference is that is hard to think something about MGS is actually wrong, at least they seem to try to make it different or better with MGSV

If they change it too much the RE syndrome will come and people will say "this is not MGS anymore!" if they don't change anything people will say "every single game is the same!" (like cod) developing games must be stressing...

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It's staying the same, but axing character likeness and voice actors doesn't make any sense whatsoever considering these faces and voices have been with the franchise for a decade. And dedicating the good part of 10 years to one character is yet another problem.

Theres a difference between criticizing and just absolute hate. I have read comments on here from people who want this game to fail because Hayter isn’t back or Solid isn’t playable which is just stupid.

That's a problem with me with this game. But it goes far beyond just that. Even before that was announced I had dislike for it since it's Snake Eater 3.0.

We were arguing? I don’t care enough to argue with you man, I was just discussing how I feel about this topic.
