Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Nervous why?

I still look at MPO as better than PO in terms of story. At least it didn't feel like it was in this weird hokey alternative universe. MPO still felt attached to the events of Snake Eater.

Only thing I'm excited for is any Snake trilogy era characters popping their heads in this game.

I just don't care what happens to Big Boss.

The way it was presented, I like PO more then PW also, but at times the story felt forced. I feel they crammed Big Boss meeting a lot of people in that game just to get it over with. And I didn’t like the whole psychic part neither. But I loved Gene as the antagonist.

I get that about MPO. It felt like it was made to hype up MGS4. And PW just felt like this drooling retarded cousin of MPO.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I always forget his name :lol

I'm not sure about that, plus I don't think there really was a BAD guy ever in MGS, just people doing what they thought was right. And Big Boss is clearly killing a bunch of innocent slaves in the trailer, something he wouldn't do back in the 60s

He will be the kind of bad guy you can relate to, at least I can..

I actually don’t think he is killing them, just they edited it to make it look like that. I bet when the game comes out he frees them. Why give them diamonds and kill them?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

But PW just felt like it was made for the sake of making it, it didn't really do anything to the MGSverse at all. The ending is completely negated by what was shown in the V trailers, with him going by Snake still and it's STILL MSF instead of Outer Heaven. But no, were going to have to go through the Diamond Dogs stage before it's ****ing called Outer Heaven.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I liked him so much more during MGS1-2 since you had to leave so much to imagination. Then with all these prequels, he's just a big cry baby.

Since Wolf said he saved her when she was little (something I hope to see in MGSV) I knew he wasn't just a simple bad guy like wesker :lol he was a more or less good guy doing bad stuff. It seems in Kojima's head Big Boss was actually always like this but some people just didn't see it coming

I don't think Big Boss gave them the diamons, they must be the people the africans use to dig diamons and sell them to the UK or something like that.

Big Boss could've killed they to cripple the organization that uses those diamonds, it makes sence.

I think he kills them, it would be cheap to edit different scenes and make him look like he did ... :gah:

Wesker is just a regular bad guy with not a whole lot of back story, but I still think it's better to get the villain crap out in the open than this whole elaborate "were not sure if he's a bad guy or not" crap.

If he kills them, then everything I said before is thrown out the window, he’s a demon :lol

They are just showing how he turned into a bad guy, there is no doubt that he is...

Thats more realistic, I know if I lived the same life as him I would want to destroy the world too.

Wasker was plain like a piece of paper, no real motivation just a guy trying to kill stuff, like a robot

I hate dealing with absolutes since no one is absolutely "good" or "evil". But, Kojima has scripted Big Boss's character as a person with good intentions; someone who attempted at great lengths, but ultimately failed defeat a great evil (aka. The Patriots). That in itself, just negates all of Solid Snake's sacrifices in stopping him - since Snake was working as an agent of The Patriots. It's also an insult to the character, since Snake was the "hero" of the franchise for two decades until Kojima decided to throw him under the bus with the new chapters and retcons from the Big Boss saga.

Not entirely true. Ever since he was injected with that mutagen, he's had a God complex ever since. By RE5, he thinks he can govern the entire planet after killing Spencer.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

One thing I am hoping happens in this game, they show Big Boss and Zero finally going to war with each other. Zero has been in the shadows for way too long.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Well i hope we atleast get new details regarding grayfox on this new installment.. loved his involvement in MPO but somehow he suddenly vanished in PW without even the slightest mention. they should be building up his relationship with big boss already since were getting close in having solid snake reintroduced in the story.

Didn't make sense he wasn't in MPO.

Now that is not true, you heard what he said in the final boss fight? something like "pestilence and creatures all over the world.." he completely lost it in RE5 (at the end) too bad he was badass... Plus the evil guy trying to govern the world, cheesy as **** :lol

To be honest at that point he just wasn't even smart enought to do it right IMHO

He wanted it to be survival of the fittest with only the chosen staying alive after being infected with Uroboros.

He wanted it to be survival of the fittest with only the chosen staying alive after being infected with Uroboros.

Uroboros is the biggest fail in lab science ever, only wesker could control it, more or less... but he said he wanted creatures and **** all over the world so, he lied about survival fittest
