Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

video from last year, but the whole "kept you waiting huh " (1:05) seems really convenient that during the mgsV reveal Big Boss used that line

Even though I was listening to the GZ trailer in Japanese (obviously)... The moment I read that line in the subtitles, my head automatically made it sound with Hayter's voice...

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Kojima-San says this Is coming out for Xbox and ps3 I know people always push boundaries of the hardware during the end of a console generation, but I don't know how it can be open world and have that awesome of graphics? I wonder if he's trolling and its for next gen. I mean he did try to make people think however unsuccessful that some guy name Joachim mogren existed. lol

Yes I was wondering that too, hopefully the graphics will match the demo closely, we all know Kojima has a way of making his games look better than you think is possible for the system it's on, at least that's how I felt with MGS2 for example. :)

If he does have a next gen secret planned, that would be such great news, it would convince me to buy a PS4 this year (not really interested in the stuff announced so far). Like you said, he's full of surprises. And I thought that whole Mogren thing was hilarious! :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I think it's pretty obvious both games will be released on the future consoles

He just can't make that kind of announcement yet

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

DS, it was announced that GZ & PP are the same game and is releasing on ps3/360 to test the max capability of the systems. sorry.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

No Konami later confirmed they were two separate games

I know they've been announced on current gen but their being developed on PC means they are likely to be released on ps4 and xbox 3

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

wtf you just cant keep up with this crap. just when you think youve heard something correct, nope, flip flopped. geez.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

But that doesn't necessarily mean anything, lots of console games are partly developed on a PC.

Now I can't pretend that I know **** about marketing and stuff, but it seems to me that announcing the designated platform for the game is...kinda big deal.

They can decieve and change when it comes to the titles, or whether or not they are separate games. But when it comes to platform release, I would guess this somehow influences pre-sales. The way marketing prepares for the release, how store reacts to the news etc. They allready said its going to be a current gen game, I would be suprised if they flip-flopped on this as well.

Suprised but positively. It would be impressive if the game would work this well on PS3, but somehow I can't see it. This kind of graphics AND an open world? When MGS 4 premiere trailer was shown, the game also looked a lot better, then the final version.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Wow, I can't believe that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are two separate games that make up MGS 5. Kojima seems to be taking inspiration from Assassin's Creed games with Ezio.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I just want it to end, man. It's such a shame that Big Boss has effectively replaced Solid Snake as the main character of this series. Kojima really has to follow through with those remakes of MG 1 and 2.

I've been itching for a "true" Solid Snake game when he's not old. MGS4 didn't deliver, it was just a sad hopeless ending for Snake.

We don't need 5 Big Boss games, we just don't.
