Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yeah I did, 3 words :lol so yeah, no big news, the deja-vu mission trailer was interesting though.

Still not heard enough Keifer to fully judge. Still sounds weird to me though.

Also here confirmation he's doing classic Snakes voice 😒

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Just read this article about Ryan patons game republique and he spoke about Hayter

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/...-republique-now-aiming-for-a-december-release

Patton also noted that Hayter getting replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid 5 was really bumming the actor/screenwriter out. "Kojima's got all these strange reasons and jokes, and that [sic] the press thought this was all a joke, and that David would be back. But what's even more painful for David is that this isn't a joke," he explained. "He's had to repeatedly say to fans that, no, he's not in the next Metal Gear game. He's having to go out of his way to really say he's not a part of the next game, so it's kind of like a terrible infinite loop for him." Poor guy.

He doesn't deserve that at all. This is the worst part of this, I can't believe the lack of respect for him.

Especially after they've had him at events like the signings, the 20th anniversary, or KojiRadio and was even In the MGS4!!

Hearing Keifer say "kept you waiting huh?" Just hurts my soul.

But you're considered a hater if you don't go along and accept this ****ing bull****. Yeah okay. This complete disregard for Hayter is only reinforcing my opinion in this game and hatred for Kojima. I don't care how ****ing smart he thinks he is, I don't care if it's his series, he's completely wrong to yet again ignore David.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Poor Hayter, sucks that Kiefer is doing the voice of Solid, what the point of this mode now? The whole nostalgic feel won’t exist. This news doesn’t ruin my excitement for MGSV one bit, but I don’t give a **** about this mode anymore.

Were in complete agreement. I've come to accept Sutherland as Big Boss, but as Snake now? Like come the **** on Kojima. Hayter drove that bus for 15 years, and now Sutherland is going to siphon off Hayter's character?

Konami needs a kick in the bawz.

This is terrible news, because that mode looks all kinds of awesome. Kojima definitely dropped the ball on this. This could have been a way to please everyone.

:exactly:

This hit of nostalgia would soften the blow of Hayter being gone from the main game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

OH MY GOD. Kiefer is voicing Solid in Deja Vu? What?
Wow. I don't even know what to say. I mean I really don't. Except, the disregard for Hayter really is awful.

I'm not even in hater mode either. It's that saying "I'm not mad...I'm just disappointed" :lol

My excitement for a new MGS game is just not where it should be. And this is a big contributor.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The year is 1975, the age of détente. The Vietnam conflict is drawing to a close and the world is thawing in the wake of the Cold War. However, as tension among the world's giant superpowers eased, a tiny military force quietly took root in the Caribbean. A new type of military - an army without a nation, or any land to call home.

Lead by an enigmatic man known as "Snake," the clandestine group operated in the shadows as elite guns-for-hire, servicing various governments around the world. As their reputation grew, so did their funding and military might. Eventually, rumors began to spread that the group had attained nuclear weapons capability. The alarming prospect of a nuclear-equipped military force existing beyond the confines of the NPT (Nuclear Proliferation Treaty), and without any formal government, prompted demands for immediate nuclear inspection by the IAEA.

At that same time, Snake also received word that "Paz," a female spy who had once infiltrated his army's "Mother Base" was alive and being interrogated at a US Naval base on the southern tip of Cuba. The base housed a prison facility - a black-site that could operate outside the laws of both Cuba and the United States, where extreme forms of interrogation were sanctioned. Upon learning of the situation, Chico, a young volunteer in Snake's army with feelings for Paz, took it upon himself to rescue her.

It wasn't long before Snake received a distress call from Chico revealing that he had also been captured. With few options left, Snake embarks on a covert mission to reclaim both Paz and Chico from Cuba while Mother Base prepares to welcome its nuclear inspection.

Little did Snake know that this decision would set in motion a series of tragic.

The rest gets cut off for some reason. Anyway pretty much we knew all of this.
