Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I heard that doing Snake's voice tends to strain Hayter's vocals actually. It probably got to him in Peace Walker, cause it sounds a bit strained.
Perhaps something like this yeah.

Yea if they make the metal gear remakes I would be worried if he did comeback to do the voice. Young Solid sound like old snake

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

None of PW voice acting was very good to be fair but hayter was over the top

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I heard Hayter do MGS1 Snakes voice perfectly on a video blog he did for fans a couple years back. He Can do it.
He also said he figured out a way to do the gruff with out hurting his vocal cords so he can do both versions.

It's why im quite surprised they brought everyone else back! ( especially chicos VA, yuck!)

Yea, I can’t believe Chico’s va is back. He was the absolute worst.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

At GDC he said they were one game but KONAMI heard everyone thought they were two so they decided to split the game for more money.

It pretty obvious that this MGS is trying its best to make **** tons of cash. Kojima said they wanted to be the best development team in the industry but I think he meant to say "we want to make COD money"

I don’t mind them releasing the game in two, but that price is ridiculous. Even still I will purchase is for ps4 when it comes out.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The price is not ridiculous, if the game is a big as they say it is, it's around the same price any other DLC stuff from any regular game these days, it is expensive IMO, but not ridiculous.

Besides, I never heard the guy said it was going to be one game from the beginning, I remember him saying that they didn't know how they were going to release them both.

I don’t know man, 30 bucks for a game that has one real main mission, and the rest are side missions that we don’t even know will be good. I can’t really say for sure if its overpriced right now, but it sure looks like it, especially when TPP comes out and we have to pay full price for that.

I for one have never spent $30 on one thing of DLC. I have only ever spent $30 on a season pass once and I regretted it.

Google is flooded with nothing but news about the new announcement but the quote I heard was "Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain come together to make MGS5"

I know, it is expensive, that's what I said, but take a look at the rest of the DLC stuff around, skin packs for $5, seasons passes for $20, that are mostly skins packs and a couple of re-used maps for various challenge modes...

At least we get a mini full game out of this, and $30 is on the PS4, current gen will be $20.

I know it's kinda expensive, just not ridiculous.

That you've bought DLC or not, is irrelevant, the point is that this really offers more than your average DLC for that same price.

That means that the 2 games will form MGS5, not that the 2 games were going to be released together.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It's shocking how much they're asking. But it's been 5 years since a proper metal gear game. They've got us by the *****!

Back on the VA topic how bad was the I informant in that English demo they showed??
I was really hoping that since they brought Keifer in then the overall VA quality would have been improved - guess not

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Hypocrisy in that post bewilders me is all.

I have enough money where this doesn’t bother me, I am thinking of other people though who aren’t as privileged. Games themselves are overpriced, but we all still buy them.

Season passes are usually for a years worth of content not one game thats 1 hour long.
