Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Just sayin, I read back and the reason why were fighting yet again is because of stig popping off at the mouth. Thanks bud. Everything was fine before then.

That is brilliant. Are you suggesting that I should stay out of this conversation because I don't agree with Plissken's opinions? There you have it. If you don't agree with the opinions being expressed, no matter how asinine, do not take express your own opinions or concerns. Love it.

Not everyone of my comments is inflammatory and starts arguments like yourself.

Most of my comments have been about Kojima if anything else.

And forum status has nothing to do with immediately dismissing someone as a troll or noob.

You're a troll through and through.

I don't do anything in this thread to incite this needless arguing. I reply to comments and how I feel about what I'm replying to.

If you don't want to read my comments, ignore me and shut up already.

Another priceless bit of irony. So are you saying that you have not once implied that anyone who is actually looking forward to this game is not at your own intellectual level? Hold on, I'll be right back. I just need to gather a few pieces of evidence before I continue this discussion.

Before I go, I would just like to say that it's a bit difficult to ignore your comments when you fill up page after page. It just doesn't stop with you. Okay, brb.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I don't think I'm above anyone here, if you feel like that it's either you're imagining it or you may have some kind of inferiority complex. I treat everyone here with respect and I try to be polite with everyone.

I never called you a noob. When I speak of a MGS noob, I am speaking of people that are new to the series and dismiss what even made the series great. I equate them to Call of Duty players.

I for one don't like what Kojima has done to the series. I wouldn't say sell out is the word, I just think he's trapped in his own success and Konami is forcing his hand to a point.

You can't look at GZ/TPP the same since Hayter was disrespectfully booted from the title.

No inferiority complex, it's just that you speak so generally wide in some posts that anyone who doesn't hate games after PW can feel alluded.

Good to know though, I would agree on that, he's trapped in his own success.

Yup, so far I feel there's something missing if Hayter is gone, but I don't think the series is doomed, You want to know doomed? Resident Evil lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

COD is the reason Resident Evil went to hell.

I if can derail the thread a little more, funny enough, I think Gears of Wars is to blame for the last RE games, RE4 was great, and Gears used a lot of RE4 mechanics, THEN RE copy/pasted Gears gameplay and just threw zombies into the mix, it was just so sad.

Can we please get back to Metal Gear Big Boss

No were in the process of gathering evidence on me because someone is too thin skinned and has to drag this thread in the mud further because you win points for internet arguments.

Yeah let's talk about gameplay now for a change, we've only discussed stories.

I think it's fantastic that the game is open world in every way now, gameplay-wise my favorite game is MGS4, not the action parts, the sneaking parts, doing all kinds of crazy CQC **** to the enemies on Boss difficulty is one of the most rewarding things ever.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Anyone see the connection between the name "Ishmael" and that giant whale thing in the end of TPP trailer? It's from Moby (D)ick.

Well it will be over the shoulder since that's cemented now I think. I diss PW a lot, but the gameplay was definitely a shining part of it.

I can't see the sandbox being like a GTA game, although who knows with the Fox engine.

On a side note did anyone see what I posted about the raiden Figure from anime Island? Also why they're so expensive right now before they're even released

Yeah it wouldn't work like GTA although you can drive vehicles, more sneaking oriented probably, but I don't think you will be able to hop hookers into your jeep....

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You weren't aware of the engine for the game? Kojima's calling it the Fox engine, it seems like it's built strictly for next gen.

No no, I mean "Ishmael" = Grey Fox?

Oh, no, nevermind, it doesn't make sense, he's too old, grey fox would be kid by then.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

After watching the trailer for the thousandth time (I can't wait for this game) I think Sean Bean would make an awesome Boss.

Although, if it was like Operation Flashpoint that would be pretty neat since that game was all located one island and it was 100's of square miles.

Well Gray Fox never had facial damage, at least to our knowledge.
