Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Is star power really a draw in games? I've never seen any evidence in this. Infact the only thing I've only ever seen to make a difference is fun factor

It doesn't really matter how many people believe in that, its not true, the movies and the videogame audience couldn't be more different.

Ok you got me on MJ and Shaq.. But beyond.... Eh it would have done just as well without Willum or Ellen page

Beyond two souls, lol... I liked it, its like a movie you can't see more than once, it would be extremely boring. That type of game has no future :dunno

I was always under the presumption that the New Yorkers were part of what Raiden wanted to see. He was already shaken up by the surrounding events so it's easy to picture that at that point he just wanted to go home.

That's why I really disliked some parts of MGS4 as it retcons MGS2 to be taken literally, instead of looking at MGS2 as a narrative comprised of subtexts.

One of many reasons why I love MGS2, its just brilliant, and I'm gald to know I'm not the only one that thinks that way, it was more deep and meaningful than most games of this retarded generation :gah:

MGS2 has a small following here. Krec hates it :lol although I can't blame him, Raiden taking over is still a hard pill to swallow for me. I mainly play beyond the Tanker chapter just to see Snake in cutscenes :lol

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I remember on the first play through thinking you would switch back to snake at some point, later on it turned to hope

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

There is the silver lining that you get to see Snake in his element

MGS2 is a weird game, I think I dislike the same things as all of you do, I just try pay more attention to the things I like I guess but its not easy... :lol It was a good idea to see Snake from another perspective, it gave more depth to the character imho, I'll never think of Raiden as the main character of that game I dislike him so much... I just kept playing the game because I knew Snake would show up from time to time. At least we have Snake tales

And when you see his skill taking out the Tengus like they're nothing :lol

From there on the game is perfect, Raiden is completely dwarfed by Snake, even when I was fighting Solidus I kept thinking what happened to Snake and Liquid... :lol

Seeing Snake from Raiden's eyes really cemented in my mind that I will always see him superior to Big Boss.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I love Big Boss and I'm fine with people loving Solid Snake :lecture there are more reasons to love Snake actually, I just prefer Big Boss I can relate more to him

See, I don't mind that type of thinking. What burns me up is, all the Big Boss fans that are glad to see Snake gone or generally dislike him. None of them were saying that in 1998 :lecture

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

No problem with that :goodpost:

I do have a problem with the "shut up and get over Hayter's flushing" guys. Like why is it wrong to get upset over a guy you've been attached to for 15 ****ing years that gets let go from the series?

Yea that's drives me up the wall he didn't sound great in PW but he can still do the voice justice.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

No one has said anything like that in here, not even on facebook, whenever Hayter is mentioned on several pages, people show themselves very supportive.

Of course you can always find a couple rotten apples on youtube and facebook, but meh, trolls.

Really? :lol you can't tell me you've been seeing Facebook pages and calling it "supportive." Every say 5 comments there is one about Hayter and 20 people telling them to shut up and get over it.
