Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

But what about a proper game director like Bruce Straley or Neil Druckmann, or maybe both :monkey3

That's a dream I know.

Plenty of companies already are in the process of ripping off Druckmann's work in The Last of Us. As of right now, I'd say he's King of the Hill in terms of game directors. Not counting stupid sales numbers of GTAV, TLOU crushed gaming this year.

Possibly. I think many of the fans are too convinced that he's the only person who'd do a good job with directing the games, when he has tried multiple times in the past to pass the torch to other developers. I think he's be relieved if someone else from Konami can step in, to give him a much needed break.

And yeah, I want those MG remakes! That's the only thing that's keeping my interest going with this series :lol.

Probably the only reason I'm still holding out on this series.

That's great actually, better getting TLOUS ripoffs rather than generic FPS copycats by the hundreds!

Maybe we'll return to the PS1 and PS2 day when storytelling was more important.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Oh then I wouldn’t be opposed to it. But as dudebro as this sounds, nobody can do for the MGS series what Kojima did.

Kojibro :lol I agree.. I don't think anyone can REALLY understand a vg series other than its father, I dunno I doubt anyone out there can do it better, specially now that we are flooded with retarded games like CoD and good games like TLOU come every once in a year

I'd like to see what they do for MG2 if they remake it, the thing its juts like MGS1 :dunno ...

I wish. It's a lost art. Back in the days where the graphics wasn't there but you had great writing.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I still remember when Ps2 first came out and I saw NBA Street. I was blown away haha

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Even the Buzz Lightyear game was awesome and had great bits of writing and voice acting :lol

I think the first PS1 game to suck me in was Resident Evil. Sure the acting has gone down in history as being one of the absolute worst... but when you think about a few years prior people are playing friggin Centipede and Frogger... to a three dimensional horror game with zombies and you're trapped in a house with a creepy soundtrack... it just clicked with me that I'd be a gamer until I die if this was just the start of next gen gaming.

I didn't speak English that well back then so the acting sounded fine to me :rotfl but now :monkey1

Indeed, RE had me sleepless for days.

I was only 9 years old at the time, it terrified me. Made me so scared of Zombies as a kid :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Gotta go to the Hospital as Carlos and get the vaccine, but you got the Hunter Betas running around doing their thing.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yup same here, I think I was 7 or 8, can’t remember, I was in virginia visiting family and my cousin showed me the part with the Zombie eating a STARS member, and turns around and looks at you. I was hooked ever since.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Oh man, that scene, kinda scarred me as a kid, so did the RE2 intro, I used to play it when my parents weren't home, they didn't want me to play violent games :lol
