Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I don't know how one can bring oneself to play a game that deep down one know's one hate with all one's hate filled soul, is one going to play and cry and the same time?

Because this game may serve as the prequel to the remakes of MG 1 and 2, with Solid Snake (hopefully, with Hayter reprising his role, if we're fortunate). We've been through this before.

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl and one has a room full of every memorabilia one can find.

No need to go criticizing someone's passion for collecting because they complain about a series. Some of the harshest critics for any franchise are the fans.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Kojima is in a loveless marriage with MGS, so sad, but MGS is a smoking hottie and that makes it hard for Kojima to file the divorce.

He never wanted to be remembered for just MGS, but that's the sad truth. ZOE3 could of been his ticket out, but it got axed.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Speaking of that I think I read you were looking for the Peace Walker fatigues version of Big Boss. If so, get him on the konami website, cheapest place I have seen him in a while.

Thanks I'll check it out, I've seen people selling him for 50$ maybe 80$ on evilbay

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I wasn’t attacking you personally. But I guess Hot Toys MGS 4 version doesn’t have your interest.

Yes you were. Being as Solid Snake gets no memorabilia really, I need to take what I can get. And after playing MGS4 for years, that's when I started dislike it. Because as Solidus says, I had time to truly digest it.

You could just watch the cutscenes compilations, why make yourself go through the pain? :lol

Seriously though, while I'm excited for this game, my mind would bend at the announcement of the remakes.

Do you think they'd be good if anyone else other than Kojima would direct them?

Years ago I'd day it was a sure thing. But I think the problem nowadays is that his team veto's his ideas and he goes along with it.

Nope, you saw what his team cooked up in Metal Gear Rising? Luckily the gameplay saved that game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That game is, wow, I tried to make my self like it, but the mission failed... miserably..

Hahahah at mission failed. Yea I enjoyed it because of the gameplay but that is it. That story was terrible.

But what about a proper game director like Bruce Straley or Neil Druckmann, or maybe both :monkey3

That's a dream I know.

Possibly. I think many of the fans are too convinced that he's the only person who'd do a good job with directing the games, when he has tried multiple times in the past to pass the torch to other developers. I think he'd be relieved if someone else from Konami can step in, to give him a much needed break.

And yeah, I want those MG remakes! That's the only thing that's keeping my interest going with this series :lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Can you guys imagine if MGS was bought by naughty dog? :panic:

I know it's pointless to imagine it, since it will never happen, but man, the possibilities...

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'm thankful it was, makes it even more non canon to me. But I definitely want a sequel.

Yea, the original script Kojima had in store, sounded awesome. I would love to see a sequel about that done on the fox engine.
