Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Fanboys take it to a whole other level

Exactly, a fanboy is irrational, you don’t think you see a lot of that here :dunno

I like Hayter to, but honestly his voice has just gotten annoying for my ears after Peace Walker. He makes everything sound so much like a bad movie. If he could replicate what he did with MGS1 and 2 then I would be devastated.

The only thing I see here is people talking about what they like, defending it and sometimes getting a little mad because some comments are a little bit aggresive sometimes :lol what I see is what happens every time when people talk about what they like.

I can't speak for Hayter on PW but since a lot of people say that... it could be true, I don't think I'll dislike it that much the guy is a legend imho. I understand why they changed the voice actor but if Snake returns then Hayter should return too :lecture

Those statistics seem dubious. I can say that from what I've seen on SSF, you and pturtle are the only ones who actually liked Kiefer's voice on Big Boss. "A breath of fresh air", if I recall correctly :lol.

Hey I kind of like it too ! :lol I think he is perfect for Big Boss

Honestly, I don't think Kojima even cares anymore. Konami and the fans are holding him to a series, that he has wanted to leave a long time ago.

What in the gameplay or voice acting department shows he doesn’t care anymore? If anything he seems more excited than ever making this game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Was a poll even necessary? :lol. Well... yeah, let's at least have some actual statistics for Gasper.

Is that even a fair poll? If I could choose who to get as his voice acting, I'd choose young Hayter for sure, but if you put Kiefer against PW snake, I'd go with Kiefer.

Well guys like me and Gasp don’t come in here only praising the game. If you look back you’ll see us stating things we don’t like and things that have us worried. But in this thread, the game does need some defending sometimes.

David Hayter voice acted in six MGS games. He has a solid reputation with the franchise, and just a few instances of lackluster performance will not have me choosing Sutherland over him any day.

In my opinion he seems to care... otherwise why put so much new/different stuff in MGSV ? plus he said he wanted to work more with Big Boss. I doubt all that was just trolling.. :dunno

I don't know how one can bring oneself to play a game that deep down one know's one hate with all one's hate filled soul, is one going to play and cry and the same time?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Then I guess he wasn’t getting those bags when MGS2, 3, 4 and PW were released.

Kojima wanted to leave the series after MGS 2. I'd argue that MGS 4 and Peace Walker were the absolute dregs of this franchise in terms of storytelling.

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl and one has a room full of every memorabilia one can find.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I heard him saying everytime he makes a game he is "scared" that it might be his last. I didn't know he actually WANTED to leave the series

After I get the pak figures I'll get every MGS poster I can find :lol

For 13 years he's wanted out.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Kojima is in a loveless marriage with MGS, so sad, but MGS is a smoking hottie and that makes it hard for Kojima to file the divorce.

Speaking of that I think I read you were looking for the Peace Walker fatigues version of Big Boss. If so, get him on the konami website, cheapest place I have seen him in a while.
