Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

As long as Kojima can justify the reasons behind her design, other than "I wanna see some sexy cosplay!", then I wouldn't have a problem with it :lol. At least he knows that people have been complaining about the unorthodox design of the character.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

More and more I find myself thinking that many complains about Quiet are somewhat hypocritical, being naked in the desert would be crazy yeah, but go around the world yelling "Quiet is a slut" is something completely different :lol its not like we live in the 50s... and yet some people behave like that :dunno thats it, this will be the last time I say anything related to Quiets appearance until I get the game (just in case, all of that... was my opinion, I could be wrong...)

Overthrow the patriarchy!!! :cuss::cuss:

Jokes aside, I agree with you.

Plus it's a cool design.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The realism in this series has gone out the window. Slow mo bullet time, 3D projected maps and now a girl named "quiet"? Ridiculous.

The series has always had some elements of fantasy, but yeah, it has gotten ridiculous - especially since Peace Walker. There's definitely some type of awful, awful innuendo behind that name... I'll just leave it at that, and up to everyone's imaginations :monkey1

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Realism in Metal Gear? mh I dunno.. :dunno I think realism was never important to the series actually, the subtext is imho

Yes, and he is doing something about it instead of staying in the shadows like any bad developer would do

Slow Motion bullet time has been confirmed to be optional, and how is a girl named Quiet any worse than a fat man on roller-skates named Fatman. MGS 3 also had futuristic tech, I don’t see how this game is anything far off that.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That would make the most sense. But, she lost her ability to speak for some unknown reason.

Well Kojima said he wanted to do something that hadn't been done before in the series and a silent floating pair of boobs fit the bill.

This just occured to me. Is there no codec in this game?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yes there is, but the game won't stop for you to reply, you'll have to find a spot to hide I guess.

Which is pretty cool.

With all and all, it's the most realistic game of the series really.

He's always trying to push the boundary on sex with every game. Like for MGS 4, he had the Beauty and the Beast models do the motion captures naked. But, they couldn't use it in the game (because of censors), so they added on suits :lol.

As long as we can turn those crazy features off. Tagging? Bullet time? Bleh... :monkey4

On another note, I hope this game has good surround sound.

Yeah Sutherland is the only thing forcing my hand on a used buy now.

While he might buy used, I’m hoping a collectors edition and a physical copy is coming next-gen. But I refuse to sign that stupid petition.

That's even if used copies will be possible. Konami said that they're going to release Ground Zeroes via DLC.

I saw some disc versions. If that is true I just wont play it. Besides they are certainly going to package them together at some point and I will just buy that used.
