Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Nanomachines.

Lol it's that piece of shrapnel embedded in his forehead, people keep referring to it as a horn though

I don't get they are giving him all these injuries that were never spoken of before :dunno

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I don't really care that much for an MGS1 remake, I love everything about it, there's no point in remaking it, what I DO want, is MG1&2 remakes, those are a MUST after MGSV, A MUST!

So I say we all buy MGSV so the sales go wonderfully so Konami slaves Kojima another half a decade and he delivers them remakes, then and only then, we will let him go to work on other projects...

We'll call that plan A.

By the time a MG/MG2 remake comes around Boss will be a head in a jar, futurama style.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yes QFT hell yeah my friend

I just watched the trailer and gameplay again. I feel like doing it again everyday, haha. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be one of the best MGS games ever. It may even be the best if you consider every individual aspect of it. It's going off like crazy. I love that Big Boss is messed up, it adds so much to the story and the game. I hate to say it, but were Kojima has been taking the MGS story, it really looks like both Big Boss and Solid Snake are tragic, misguided heroes. Neither one of them is a villain, and their shared fate is tragedy. Neither one is to blame. They really are more interesting as a pair, when you look at how their stories seem to compare and differ. How Big Boss pulls all of this off is going to be amazing to see.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That horn is just stupid

They better get rid of it!!

Agreed. The fact this is taking place in Africa during the post-Vietnam mercenary boom really has me excited. I haven't been this excited since the teasers for MGS3 came out.

Same here. It's going to be crazy to see what Boss is up to. I figure it'll basically show us his evolution into the person we know him as in the Solid Snake games.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Rescued Sunny from Area 51 after MGS2 and was kidnapped by the Patriots and experimented on.

I Think it was The Original Plan For Rising before Platinum Games took over to explain what happened to Raiden from MGS2 to 4.

so i guess it wont happen again, unless the Sequel of Rising is a Prequel to the first to show what happened to Raiden

also possible. Kojima loves prequels

Indeed it was. When it still had the storyline I thought it didn't make any sense since Raiden's look and ability looked like it surpassed MGS4's body.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That art is pretty cool but a pony tail, a horn and a mechanical arm? thats pretty stupid if you ask me.

But this is totally Kojimas projct Ogre. He said it features a demon, well thats BigBoss now. Lookin like hellboy lol

Besides some wierd design choices and lack of Hayter i am really loking forward to this game! I hope Kojima does another interview soon

At least it's a main title on the console and not a handheld, I can probably take this a lot more seriously than MPO and PW.

Hopefully the franchise can pass the torch back to Snake again.

Good to see I am not the only one as excited for these games. I also agree with your observations about the two characters.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Well it's not literally a horn. I'm not bothered by the shrapnel and mechanical arm, it's more than plausible that someone with Boss's combat experience would have a ****load of combat injuries.

Exactly :goodpost:

Toughest warriors in most stories are ugly and beat up as hell, at some point in their lives at least, but they're ALIVE, they've survived their respective journies, and BB has been looking pretty long enough, it's time they beat him up with the ugly stick.
