Absolutely Henry, I find that Kojima puts a greater emphasis on theme than plot in MGS. So while his themes are well thought out it can be in detriment to story and cannon.

While I'm sure he has other reasons, the ones he gave for prematurely aging Snake were he wanted the series to end, he wanted to show of PS3 graphics with wrinkles and, similar to replacing Hayter, he wanted a character closer to his age so he can relate.

So my buddy who was buying my PS3 had to back out (maybe a sign of the heavens so I don't sell my PS3 :lol) and another buddy offered to share his Ground Zeroes digital download with me so I'll be playing the PS3 version without paying a cent :yess:

Moral conundrum avoided :lol

I'll be posting my impressions when I get a chance to play it.

How dare you not give Kojima the money he deserves!!!

He just needs to retcon MGS4s plot. It ruined the franchise imo. Not its basic plot but all the backstory and twists, i dont get how anyone thought it was a good way to answer/end the saga :lecture

:lecture

Absolutely! MGS 4's plot was simply atrocious. Nanomachines as the cop-out explanation for everything, and revelations that threw Snake under the bus as some fool who got in the way of Big Boss's heroic plans to stop Zero :yuck.

You should keep your PS3, Gasp, it's a great console. You can always pick up a PS4 when there's a price drop (that's what I plan on doing :lol).

By the way, how do you share digital downloads on your PS3? I also have Ground Zeroes now - yes, yes, whip me with a wet noodle. I can also let you play it... if I feel like I'm in the mood.............

I'll keep it, god bless it, it has never given me any trouble :lol

It won't be necessary my friend, but thank you anyway :duff: I'm downloading it right now.

You have to give your password and ID to the person you want to share it with, as far as I know every digital game can be downloaded and played on 2 different consoles at the same time but the main console (my buddy's) can disable me at any given time.

I'm not sure if there are other ways to do that.

I was being sarcastic :lol

Playing any game for free is always the best route to go.

:rotfl

I'm taking a somewhat of a stand here, I don't approve of how Konami is selling this, otherwise I would have bought a physical copy.

can someone answer this

i know how chico got Captured .. but how was Paz captured?

All I know is she was found in the ocean, but how XOF got her hands on her from there I don’t know, but I would assume since Cipher watches everyone, it wouldn’t be so hard for Skull Face to find her location and get to her.

Erm, im not going to bother with spoiler tags as people who have played the game will know some events, and people who havent, tough. Its out, either pay the price or dont read. - i think Ocelot captured Paz and implanted her with a bomb so when she went back to Zero she would kill him. But instead she was intercepted by Skull Face and he decided to add his own to take down MSF or at least Big Boss.

Thats an interesting theory, what makes you think that?

The first bomb was more like a decoy, the real bomb was somewhere else, Skully implanted them both :lecture

I don't remember but I think the game doesn't give any detail about that

Great! I hope you didn't read anything here that could ruin the experience :lol have fun!

Yeah he does, I love the post modern stuff he adds to these games

Just a feeling, i could be completely wrong. But Ocelot is obviously going to be a player in Phantom Pain, so i figured he would of had a hand in something during the Prequel. Obviously till the very end he was a Big Boss guy so he wouldnt do anything to go against Big Boss. So the only thing i can think of is he tried to take down Zero with Paz, but the plan backfired.

Its just something i think about. Its the only way i can try to slot Ocelot in to the " bigger picture " by including him in Ground Zeroes

I didn’t think about that, it makes sense. I’m interested find out Ocelot and Skull Face’s connection in TPP, they’re both pretty similar to each other.

I really can't wait to see Ocelot again :drool but it makes me think about Eva, if Ocelot left the patriots by that time Eva should have done the same :dunno Ocelot has a bromance with Big Boss and Eva trully loves him, in my mind its impossible that she doesn't show up in some shape or form in TPP

I’m really hoping she does as well. She’s probably my favorite female character in the franchise.

I really don't like Ocelots new face. It looks nothing like him. The only reason i knew it was ocelot was the cowboy gear.
As for EVa, i think they based her of the model from that poster. So it would be cool to see her pop up in MGSV

I think Ocelot looks alright, he supposed to be around 40 here right? I prefer this design a lot more than his MGS3 design.

I think he works for a younger version, and fits with this being his older self
