Really refresh my hype and faith over MGS5

Yea 8 hours in and they're still on chapter 1 is pretty crazy. I just hope we get some great boss battles back, for all the praise MGS2 has been getting around here lately, it undoubtedly had the worst boss battles out of all of the major console releases.

Oh man, I hope not :lol

They're calling it basically Peace Walker 2.0 which had the most gameplay and least cutscenes in the series I think. I wasn't a fan of the mission format though, it kind of took me out of the story.

I liked the mission format and it was adequate due to the limitations of the PSP, but yeah, it felt arcade-ish.

I loved the mechanics in PW, mother base, developing tech, equipment, weapons and vehicles, recruiting that's what made me put more than 100 hours into the game, it's so much fun, I'm glad they're saying MGSV has those mechanics blown up to huge proportions, I can't ****ing wait man!

I think Olga, Solidus and the Rays were great bosses

Yeah add more development and money to PW and you have a great game

Yeah, I liked Olga, I remember being grossed out by her armpit hair the 1st time I played it :lol wasn't ready for that, once again, very forward thinking Kojima :lol

Here's YongYea's video that summarizes the impressions for those who are lazy to read or are doing something else and just want to listen to stuff, he speaks great Spanish btw.

I loved the mechanics in PW and the multiplayer, but I thought everything else was subpar compared to the rest of the series. I still don't understand why MPO got non-canoned. MPO was the sequel we deserved, but not the sequel that got the credit.

I never got to play it on PSP, mine had broke right around the time Peace Walker came out so I ended having to weight and play it on the HD releases on PS3. For a portable device the format is perfect, I just hope for Current gen systems it's a little bit more interactive. I'd like to be able to walk around mother base as Big Boss and give commands and orders of what I want done, as opposed to doing everything from a menu.

You're scaring me.

:lol :lol :lol

Peace Walker's biggest crime was the story and boss battles in my opinion, if TPP is better in those areas then it should be great, to me at least.

I forgot about Olga for some reason, I did enjoy that boss battle, Solidus was good too but compared to the rest of the series they felt very generic and unimaginative. They're still good though and better than most bosses from other games so I shouldn't complain.

Going to watch now thanks!

If it improves where PW fell short, I'm sure I'll like it. I hope it has at the very least, a compelling story like Snake Eater did.

As for the boss battles, I think they were fun outside of Fatman and Fortune. They were a departure to the pretty straight forward fights of MGS1, outside of Mantis and the controller switching.

Oh god I forgot about her armpit that was so gross, only Kojima can do that sort of thing :lol

Thanks for the video I'm too lazy to read

Well every MGS game has a few dull boss fights, except MGS1 I can't think of a boss fight I didn't like in that game
