My love for this series has really dwindled over the last few years. Too many shades of George Lucas. It's almost like Kojima lost sight of what the original formula was.

I feel the same way. I don't think he's gotten to Lucas level, but I fully understand the sentiment. Him being forced to continually work on it against his will, made the series lose it's soul I think.

I can't speak for all MGS gamers, but I'm pretty sure most of us here don't even invest our time in mobile games :dunno.

I have no idea why Konami believes that this sudden change in business strategy will make them more successful, but I hope they fail utterly and miserably.

Statistics say its all, mobile games revenue was growth 45% from 2013 to 2014 into $25 billion. And guess what, you just need a very little resource to developed mobile games. You just need a mediocre mobile gaming with skinner box and blow up its IP with marketing, the biggest cost to successfull mobile gaming is for advertizing. You need big sum of money to get into 10 ten chart iphone store / android and stay on it. If you are not have money for advertizing, say goodbye burried by hundred games released every week. Unless your games completely brilliant and become viral with very little chance to happen. If you are already big company say konami / square enix, its become easier. You already reduce cost of advertizing with your name

Konami really is just liquidating all their big assets, what a shame. I wish they would sell them off to other good devs, but the amount of good talent out there is pretty scarce.

I focus only on portable Nintendo games and that's it. Really mostly so I can play while in-between breaks at college, while taking a ****, so on...stuff like MGS, not really. I had Snake Eater on 3DS but since I have the HD version, I don't really need it anymore

Being turned into mobile only games is a much worse fate for MGS than I ever thought they'd do.

The should at least have the decency to sell the IP of their bit gonna use it properly

Imnot sure if focusing on mobile gaming is a stupid idea. Maybe they've done their market research.

But from my personal point of view I hate it cuz MGS and pro evolution soccer are my two favourite franchises of all time.

But seriously screw that. I have no attachment to licenses just good quality gaming. I'll stick with console gaming. If I got more time I mightneven go build myself a gaming PC and get back to FPS gaming. Konami can say bye bye to one customer.

Can't believe, not even 20 years since MGS1 and the series is... dead. I wanted Kojima to move on and get some new blood directing... but if the series is just going to completely end... I'm pretty upset over that. I never thought I'd see this day.

I guess forever, I'll have to live of the fantasy remakes of MG1-MG2:SS I had envisioned.

I honestly couldn't care less if the series was put into the grave. I was fully prepared for it when MGS 4 was released, and I'll at least be happy if Platinum continues their lineup of unrelated MGR games.

MG remakes would've been sweet, though. I don't think there's anyone who didn't wish for them.
