Not sure if the puppy appears randomly or not, but if you hear barking just look around and catch it. It's so tiny. :lol

It was night when i found him. For about 4 minutes i could hear him but not see. So i had to run to a vantage point, use my binoculars to look at where i had been running around to find him! His yelp when fultoned is adorable.

Why are you guys having to wait?

I tried to cancel my order through Gamestop but they said it was too late. We chose next day shipping, so it may not get to us until Wednesday... although I'm reading online that if you chose that shipping method that you should get it on release day.

Im like 5 hours in.

I can see why people are giving it top scores.

I mean, ive actually been CHOOSING to do side-ops. And thats something i never do if i can help it.

And walking around mother base totally feels like Big Shell.

Sheesh for reals? GZ looked like ass with the playdough like textures and pop outs. Are they back?

True story, but I had some buddies last night and they came when I was playing GZ. Few minutes later I switched to Arkham Knight and the guys said "Wholly sheaat! Is that PS4 graphics? It looks night and day compared to GZ!" It took me a minute or two but I though yeah, they might be on to something.

Point it, GZ is nowhere near as pretty as I remembered it thanks to games like Arkham Knight and Driveclub. I was hoping TPP looks nicer.

Arkham Knight definitely is the better looking game, but comparing the size of that game to MGSV it makes sense why it looks better. It's not always dark and raining in TPP, and it's also running at a locked 60 FPS, that's pretty incredible. However, I do wonder what this game would have looked like if it was developed primarily for current gen systems like AK was.

The Anti-Alias and shadow effects are set to low. Shadow effects can be the most draining of any visual effect so its been turned right down on the consoles. The textures are still set to high, but not the highest.

Its a good looking game. But you can pick faults because of other games that are out.

But i dont mind the graphics at all. I forget all about them when im playing.

Ugh. Ive hit the " padded " part of the game with repetative ******** missions. It took me about 70 minutes to do a nothing mission and im now about 45 minutes into another.

Arkham Knight got alot of flack for the bat mobile use. This should get the same for the horse.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

Im thinking about buying the steelbook version and selling the game. Been contemplating for a couple days now.

For those who have gotten the game early. Can you confirm if the POW's among others from Ground Zeroes you save is worth spending time extracting on my playthrough today.Won't bother with all the extra missions if they are all low level staff in Phantom Pain.I probably have some of them allready, other than the main targets, but can't remember who i extracted or which missions it was.

Im about 10 hours in now, and allthough i didnt rescue the GZ people i can say that if they are high spec, or low it isnt going to make any difference in the gameplay nor mechanics. You fulton so many people ( if you wish to ) that by the time things " unlock " to the point higher rated people can be used youve already got so many people that their numbers alone mean you dont need to worry about anything. The only restrictions i have in mother base are finding materials on the battlefield

Yeah it wouldn't matter if you fulton enough for sure, but i just hoped that it would be more rewarding extracting all of them in GZ than just random staff members in Phantom Pain.
I enjoy playing GZ anyway so i might give it a go,something to keep my busy before TPP arrives.
Does it work to extract the POWs and abort the mission or do you need complete them?

Once you get passed that things really pick up.

The servers aren't up, so it doesn't allow you to upload your GZ data until official launch.

12 Straight hours of gameplay. Im done for the night!

Its fun, at times. A lot of time. But at other times you can lose 40 minutes of progress due to the checkpoint system. Like i just did when i knocked the game off.

I think the game could of been 6 hours long because theres been next to no cut scenes. The gameplay is always find 4/4, destroy 4/4 rescue such and such. Very repetative.

Its fun. But i think it would be more fun for people who arent metal gear fans. Because i want lore and story. I dont want to spend 25 minutes running from point A to point B and then back to point A to do something i did in the last mission. Some missions dont even feel like something youd do in MGS. They feel like random action game missions.

Its got to pull some major cats out of the bag to pull it back when i return the game tomorrow.

Are you doing Side Ops? They have plenty of story in them. After the intro, there was maybe 2 hours of barely any story, almost every mission for me after that has had a lot of story, and I've already fought about 3 bosses or sub-boss battles relevant to the story all within about 2 hours or so. There's even story and cutscenes to be found on mother base.

While building and customizing my mother base I play cassettes to fill out the rest of the story for me.

Also, Kiefer speaks a lot more than I expected him to based on reviews.

Yeah, it's best to punch out now... since you'll get noobs posting in here just letting all the plot points spill out without tagging anything.
