Not sure about that. I mean I wouldn't put it past Hot Toys to just reuse their latest sculpt but I think they really need to create a good IM1 likeness. The IM2 sculpt from the Arc Reactor figure would be the next best thing to that imo

I wish they would create a new IM1 likeness, but I don't think they'll be revisiting the movie for future figures, so I can't see the incentive for Hot Toys to create a new one-time Tony Stark sculpt when they can just reuse an existing in-helmet sculpt. And the IM2 Arc Reactor sculpt would need to be modified into an in-helmet sculpt, which also requires time and resources.

Who knows, maybe the delay is because they're actually working on a new head sculpt. :dunno

Maybe they're adding torso articulation? That's the only reason I can see for taking this long on a figure that was first shown months ago. As far as the unmasked portrait is concerned, I could see them using the face from the IM2 Stark. We've seen how customizers here have taken the face and transplanted it into a helmet, like Username did with the MK VII if I'm not mistaken.

Meow about a crazy busy production schedule? That's more then likely the reason.

It'll come soon enough. It'll be an enjoyable end of summer treat. I just watched Iron Man 1 the other day and I am very glad I am getting this. Classic.

It's part of the upcoming releases is it? Or was it in the previous bunch? Hopefully we'll get final look photo sets soon from
:panic::panic::panic: and Jingobell and company. :tap

I was hoping, seeing as it's the 3rd attempt, that this would be the mark 3 to end all mark 3's but I don't think it will be. Don't get me wrong I think it looks amazing, it's just not as good as it could have been. I guess we'll know better once the production pics are out.

This hobby is tough ha I want August to be here but I also do not want summer to be on its way out ha
Definitely don't let it affect your Summer! Get out there and enjoy the warm days, and you just might forget about this figure enough to be pleasantly surprised when it shows up on your doorstep. :wink1:

If it wasn't part of the last two photos, I wouldn't think we'd see this in North America before September, would we? Personally I'm not in too much of a rush. Looking forward to getting this in-hand, for sure, but not as much as other stuff I've got on order. Just due to how much Iron Man product I've seen over the last few years, it's probably bottom of my list.

At the earliest, it shows up in the next photo (in mid/late June), which puts a Sideshow release somewhere around August-September. Besides, Budget Stark had it posted as a Q2/Q3 release, which means we could get a HK release as late as September within that time frame.
