I'm very fortunate that my UPS driver is a fellow collector, so he takes extra care of the boxes. But you should definitely log a complaint!
Or call ups and have them hire a taller driver. Your little driver used this box to sit on and see over the steering wheel.
Time for Hot toys to think of diescast boxes to go with the figures.....

Im telling you, my ups driver hates me

Yeah, it's important to become friends with your deliver drivers. Thankfully, me and my UPS driver have hit it off and we've become pretty good buddys. He always texts me when I will be home when I have a package that needs to be signed (well it's happened twice). I've even been over to his family's house for a barbecue.

You don't need to become best friends with them, but establishing a friendship or connection will go a long ways so incedents like this won't occur.

I never receive the packages, they're always signed for at my post office and I just pick up from there.

My local UPS deliveries have been decent so far. It's Fed Ex that have been just throwing my boxes like they were trash. I guess if it's clearly labeled, "Fragile" it means to "toss."

This box was from BBTS,lol.

And another:

My camera was off when Fed Ex delivered my 1:1 King Arts Cap shield, but the drop was so loud I can hear the thud from my kitchen.

Yup! Make friends...that'll keep your packages safe. My driver knows me, my wife and father-in-law on a first name basis. Any package I get comes with a complimentary text notification directly from my driver.

Best way to start that relationship? Try the good ole fashion way...Holiday card with enough moolah in it for a very nice lunch. A little thought can last you the whole year and then some.

Anybody else having trouble getting him in the three point landing? It's like I can't bend his upper body enough for his fist to make contact with the ground, and if I keep bending the knee, he is lying flat on his thigh and it looks ridiculous.

Are you... using the supplied rotated torso piece? ;)

:lol Yeah, he just doesn't seem to want to move into the correct position. Should this torso be able to bend at all? Or should I be able to recreate the pose based solely on leg positioning?

I'm at work now, so I haven't tried it, but this video makes it look like you need to press an additional button to make the legs come down lower. That would make sense since getting into the pose seems to be impossible with what I tried earlier today.

I'm not being negative but the Iron man ground pose is iconic and all but to me, it doesn't look that cool. Why would he even land on his knees and fist like that when he could just drop straight down on his legs.

hey guys whats the best way to glue that little metal on the faceplate? It feel out of my iron man fresh of coming out of the box. will superglue do?

thx

I'm hoping I have some luck with the Mark 3 diecast, only figure I've been able to get into the ground punch pose is the Mark 43 and just barely. :lol

The correct term is, "ground pound" not, "ground punch."
And you call yourself a fan! :lol

(The above statement is purely in jest and is not intended to insult anyone. Just so we're clear. :))

I believe it is meant to be seen as a defensive position. (actually it's probably meant to just look cool) Landing in a low form leaves less surface area for attacking. The pose is used in all kinds of martial arts films (although not after dropping from the sky) and other movies as well. Look at Selene's fighting style in Underworld for example. While Iron Man is tough, he really isn't invincible and really should offer a smaller target when landing. Plus it gives him a point from which he can move quickly into a fight. That's just my take. I could be wrong. It's happened before.

I think it's more of an iconic showcase pose for art than anything else. Like Thor holding Mjolnir skyward, Batman with his cape clenched in his fist across his face, Superman with his hands on his hips, etc.
