Hot Toys actually developed their narrow shoulder True Type for the v1 Batman, I wonder if that's the body this is built around or if they even went further and built it on the slim.

The problem with the slim is that it's significantly shorter than the others - which would look terrible for a Batman.

Depending on the design of the figure it's used for, the Slim's nude height difference to other bodies is not a factor. Nude, it is smaller I'll agree, but, I used a slim to swap out my Hot Toys Jack Sparrow and the way all the pieces are for that figure, he's as tall on the slim as my Cannibal Jack that's still on the regular TT body.

Well considering that this comes with a PERS head and interchangeable mouth pieces and another light up sonar head I can't imagine a third head being included.. as a matter of fact I have not been in this hobby long enough to be sure but I have yet to see any figure including three heads......
Oh except kits with exclusive bonuses like the upcoming IM BD where the exclusive preorder in HK comes with the extra squashed helmet

Well according to Milk magazine's interview with Hot Toys, it seemed very unlikely that they are going to throw in the bale head. They explained the reason is that Hot Toys wanted to be "fair" to the customers who have purchased the previous TDK batman before..

there was a post on the hot toys facebook page from someone over at toy-world that said that HK stores were told they will be selling the first batch late this month/early next month. But who knows.

This month?? I hope not for two reasons:

1. I need a brake, i have purchased SOOO much in the last month, that would break my neck!
2. It means probably that they haven't updated anything on this figure, just produced the prototype to mass-products.

It's been really a time now that we haven't heard or seen any updates on this figure. I really hope they have done something in the meantime to develope the body and suit and will give us a brand new slim body with human hands/arms

Indeed, I really don't see him being ahead of schedule, but who knows, he has less paint apps than the Joker set, only one outfit to produce, basic accessories but for the Sticky Gun, and 2 unique heads, so maybe he could be right on time or early, hope not though, with Wolverine and John Connor due to ship from Sideshow around that time, I'd rather not have this Batman to pay for too.

My contacts have told me that the Hong Kong release will be in December/January and the U.S. release in May!

Domestic is 4 -5 months after the HK release. Holy outlandish delays Batman! Is this DC Directs doing (again)?

QS will you have both the HK and domestic release available and the antcipated price?

alright this might be a stupid question but how can you tell which retailers will have the earlier release?

Estimated ship/delivery date is usually a good sign.

Example, BBTS lists him as 2nd Quarter of 2010, which May falls in, and BBTS is a confirmed DCD distributor. Toys2, who ships direct from Hot Toys, lists him as January/February, which is on track to the information we're getting here.

Anyone saying it should ship within 1st Quarter of 2010 should be an HT shipment and anyone 2nd Quarter or later should be a DCD shipment.

No, they list based on what their suppliers tell them, so when they have different suppliers, the dates differ.
