Not true, the V1 TDK is like a hanky.
The OC version was thicker, though.

Here's what I think a custom cape will look like on the DX Batman:

I think a thinner custom cape like a lot of people used for their Medicom and HT v.1 Batman figures will really make the figure retain the slimness we've seen in pics without the stock cape since the custom capes lay flatter against the shoulder/neck area unlike the stock cape which adds a lot of bulk.

The second pic makes me wonder, could there be a wire in the cape this time around, that'd be nice, hopefully one stronger than the thin wires in Joker's coat though.

THAT is perfect! Custom cape - mandatory. The HT looks like beach towel material And that REALLY dark, ace of spades thick black too, to offset the lighter costume color and it's edges
BTW, was it Agen who said those batarangs are foam? WTFH?!

Why does everyone care about the batarangs being foam though!? Were you guys planning on using them and throwing them at criminals or something?

Seriously though, the stock cape looks like garbage. And what's funny is, EVERY stock TDK Batman cape has been trash so far: DCD, Medicom, HT (v.1 and DX). Yet guys like Buddy Lee and lforigno (who aren't professionals) CAN make screen accurate, beautiful capes. Go figure.

But the first thing I noticed is, Batman's stock cape looks almost like the same material as Joker's coat. And that just ain't right. So I agree.. a custom cape is a must.

It could be perhaps that the big makers can't source enough of the fabrics that the custom guys use. I have nothing to back that up but it's much easier to buy 10 yards of a fabric than 1000 yards and I know some fabrics are very limited in their runs and there simply isn't a lot of it around.

I thought blunt metal at the most, or metal looking plastic at the last devil lol. Foam, i mean c'mon! Yeah the capes are hideous, why do they have that suedey/cotton out lining? It should just be plainly what is on the inside of the cape there, smooth, almost silk like polyester looking cotton

Just bought with studiosunny btw, woohoo Can't wait, more excited than i was for DX joker! With some small tweaks, this guy will be insanely accurate!

Yeah.. but wouldn't HT have to classify that as a weapon for overseas shipping like a Ninja Star or throwing knife? Could be wrong. iunno..

They look good from pics, not sure how cheap they look in person though. Ultimately I could care less tbh because it's an extra and no one expected it. The alternative could've been nothing at all. So it's a cool little bonus.

Yes. Now my Christmas is ruined.

And as soon as qstoysandcollectibles gets these in next week, this son of a ????? is mine. The credit card is already burning a hole in my wallet.

Actually I don't care what material it uses as long as it has the right look and does not degrade over time.... Foam is just not a material I would think to have the right surface texture and durability but heck I would not have been able to tell from the pictures so I guess it's ok
