That seems like a tough request, all the overseas shots seems to either use other capes or no cape at all. I want to see how it connects, how it looks, but I'm guessing the overseas guys are none too happy with the cape since they're not putting it in photos. I hope it's a better setup than the v1 clips.

Can't believe this figure is already out! Madness!

I think PERS and the mouthpieces are going to have to really be well thought out with how you're angling the neck/head and to the degree of in which direction. That will be the way to keep the 'bug eyes' appearence down a bit. That said, I think they should have made the opening between the eye lids shorter to more of a squint. PERS/moving eyes is still in its infancy stage with HT so here's to hoping it will be improved and refined in future figures.

Stupid me, just found out how to put the cape the right way. All the pics we saw here including mine are using the DX cape, there'e nothing wrong with it dont worry

I am VERY curious how smoothly the Batman PERS moves compared to Jokers because the switch in the head or the extension stick seen here would snap trying to move my Joker eyes, it takes a fair ammount of force to move but the HT video seemed to make Batman's seem fairly smooth, of course if Batman's can move more easily, I'll be wondering why Joker's weren't done that way.

Yeah the Jokers is a damn pain to move ............. to the left that is. Not sure about you guys. To be honest PERS is cool but not something I care for.

I would guess the cape goes in exactly the same as V1, just OMG forgot to tuck the cape tips in with the clips.

Mine sticks in every direction.

As a photographer, I love the freedom of posable eyes, but just for collecting, and with most characters, I don't care too much if the eyes are painted, as long as they're looking straight out. I'd really enjoy the BR head if it had either been PERS or straight painted eyes, but being stuck to one side ruined that head a bit for me. The Joker and Jack Sparrow are the only characters I feel really can benefit from PERS, after that, it's nice to have, but I don't think elevates the value of the figure too much.

At least Batman shows my fear of them all having panels and seamlines to get at the switch was for nothing and that figure that get PERS will have the access to the control based on the design of the head to preserve the aesthetics.

Would have been a little bit nicer if they would have gave him the "squinting" eye look that he had in the movie. But overall, I am happy with the look of this figure and might give in to the high prices on ebay....again.

I hope a little easier, I did a few photos with the cape off when I first got the v1 and had such a hastle getting the cape to stay in nicely the first go around, it's been that way ever since, I'd enjoy removing the cape for some work again, but I dare not undo the cape after getting it right, and if the DX cape is equally a pain, I'll do the same, once I finally get it right that's it.

Yeah the PERS is huge on the Joker but on batman I probably won't be using much.
BTW something else to think about. Whenever those Asian girls want to pose a cute animestyle pose they always look off centreas well to show more whites to give the the larger eyes. Same goes for shots taken from a higher angle. Same trick to make eyes look bigger

You can get the clips tucked on the v1 so that the hard plastic isnt' sticking up, it takes a bit of work to get it there but it's doable, at first I couldn't get one end and it just didn't look good so I worked at it mroe, which is why I won't undo it, hopefully the found some better way for the DX.

I was toying(pun intended ) around with the immortal MS Paint to get a very rough idea of how would the eye repaint i talked about earlier look like. Here's what I got:

I made the eyes a little more squinted and added some bits of brown to the pupils, to make them look less bland.
If i get my DX bats thats propably what i am gonna do to it.
One can also make the whole eye area more dark(like in the movies) by painting the whole eye-socket area(except the eyes themselves) with arcylic matt black paint, and then leave it be without any kind of varnish. It would represent the paint that all the Batman actors to date, applied to their eyes. The problem with black colour on toys and figures is that the nature of plastic and rubber that are used to manufacture them are never really 100% matt, hence there are more reflections than in the movies.

Unfortuately you can't paint what's not there. The only way to make this work is resculpt and remold the eye area, then paint it.

You mean the eyelids? Just file down the original eyelids and then apply new lid(just roll a small piece of moddeling putty) higher to make the eyegap more squinted. I know it sounds crazy, but its acctually easier than it sounds

i just caved and spent a fortune on this guy on ebay. don't really care though, its christmas, ive got the money and im treating myself...im stoked.

also it seems like we're getting a 'fake' cowl to house the third face sculpt similar to how we got a fake body for the joker's cop uniform. should make for nice display options with a bruce head so we can actually have him holding an empty cowl if we wanted to.

should have him in a week. damn, hot toys predator, john connor, dutch, t-700, dx joker and now this. i've spent over a grand this year on toys alone. damn you hot toys!

and on the PERS topic, for those of you who have joker in hand, do the eyes really look that big to you? in hand its not an issue at all, at least for me. when you're seeing pictures closer and in more detail than your eyes can ever pick up, things will seem a tad bit 'off' always. as good as the pics of DX joker are, none of them compare or do justice to how it looks on your display.
