I followed it because I didn't want the HT Batpod and the Mattel one wasn't out yet so it was my best hope.

The ears look longer because the head looks slimmer/longer. If the overall head looked wider like OC, I don't think anyone'd be too concerned with ear height.

Also, based on other shots in here, there looks like a fair ammount of camera distortion occurring in that shot, nothing about the head looks good there.

We'll have to wait until one of you gets it in hand to justify it.

But in that pic, they really do look bad, and it's not the only pic that has showed the ears like that.

Those ears look good on Clooney, not Bale.

I'll be sure to try to put the ear issue to rest when I get mine.

Now if I could just stop madly refreshing USPS' tracking page, I might be able to get something constructive done.

USPS tracking sucks, it only updates like once a day at the end I usually find with my stuff, I have to wait until like 10 at night to see where it's at, except delivery day, then it gets updated as soon as it happens.

It's actually been REALLY good with my EMS package. It's been updated like 3 times today since 1 o'clock this morning. Now it's "Inbound Out of Customs", since about 9 am, so hopefully it's going to get here tomorrow. Express Mail is always pretty good about arriving on time.

It's actually been REALLY good with my EMS package. It's been updated like 3 times today since 1 o'clock this morning. Now it's "Inbound Out of Customs", since about 9 am, so hopefully it's going to get here tomorrow. Express Mail is always pretty good about arriving on time.

Are you using EMS tracking, because I'm referring to USPS.com tracking, which sucks.

USPS.com's tracking system is what I'm using. The EMS package is Express Mail International.

It's been about a year since I bought anything from Hong Kong - can anyone refresh my memory of how quickly the price drops on new releases? As I recall, first HK sellers buy them from Toyhunters shop, then soon after they get their orders fulfilled by HT then a few months later overseas vendors get theirs. I don't want to spend what this is at currently - does anyone know how long it'll take to drop in price? Thanks.

Hard to say. Depends in part on how many get made. I can see this going for about $170 once it's released in the US though. I don't think it will go much lower than that.

Yeah, considering this is probably their last hurrah for the TDK line, I wouldn't expect it to drop all that much. Unless, of course, they use the same suit for the third movie and they release yet another version.

I'm watching TDK right now. The ears are fine, along with 99% of the work HT did on this DX.

I was thinking that myself, if i a 3rd movie gets made, i doubt they'll change it again, and then, we might get another shot at this suited batman

Boy, I hope not. I dunno if my heart can take anymore waiting on stuff to get here from HK. I can wait for the U.S. release for anything but Batman stuff.

If they do use the same suit in the next film, innevitably something about that figure will probably obsolete this one to the point where you wouldn't even want it, even if it was cheaper. If it were still available, I'd bet places would have to super discount it to ever move it. Toys2 is still selling the v1 for $160 even with slots still available to buy the DX, can't imagine they're getting sales on the v1 at only $30 cheaper than the DX, which I think is safe to call superior to the v1.

I was actually excited about the Bandai set until I saw the Batman and the price tag, then the MM set was good enough for me

Reminds me of this Begins image, maybe they even traced it as a base and then applied TDK detailing to the overall shape, never saw that fan art before though.

barely a week after release and DX batman has peeled... It's never good to paint silicone... they had the trouble since Deunan/Alien 2 years ago...
