I wonder how much of a defect it is, I know that the insides of the v1 suit had a bit of an oily touch to keep from friction against the base body, and it seems not to wipe away easily. If any was used on the outside of this figure or the belt for some reason, would make sense.

Hey guys, for those of you talking about the "sweating" abdominal area...that's what's been going on with mine. Check the pic I posted and that was quoted recently. Dabbing it away works, but it comes right back a few hours later. I've been working on a solution here for a couple days, experimenting with various sealants and primers as well as acrylic paint, trying to find a way to seal the oil or whatever it is in.
I just applied some primer/sealant that requires 24 hours before you paint over it, so once that dries and I paint it, I will keep an eye on it and let you know what happens. If it fixes the problem, I will post a step by step on how to fix it, as well as the materials I used.
Also, my figure's been out of the box since receipt and he's been stored in a Detolf for the last 3 weeks. Before that, he was on an open-air shelf.

Hmmmm
I would try to have it stand without the belt and see whether the wetness comes back?
If it does than the area may be in question
If it does not then the belt may have some thing on its back side that touches the armor to avoid bonding???

Some of my other rubber-suited figures, including ver 1, would have an oily feeling around some parts of the suit, but wetness that comes back after cleaning is just weird.

Out of curiosity I checked the belt I'm not using (the one without the pouches) and it didn't seem to have any oily residue or smell after inspecting it front & back...nor was there any "sweating" on the plastic tray it has been stored in. The backside of the belt is smooth & seemingly ordinary all the way out to the magnets which are sealed in a clear plastic covering. I wonder if it is the result of some interaction between the paint on the belt & the paint/sealer mix used on the suit?

my v1 had that as well, but after cleaning it the 1st time, its gone.
just checked my bats again, and yes, its 'wet' again. But no, theres no peeling yet.
Honestly speaking, I'm not too worried though. Since HT is replacing this one, if theres any problems.
