Just be glad it aint the crotch area. If that area were to be leaking my woman will be making fun of me forever and we would have to make custom diapers for our beloved Batman

Actually, it does seem to be leaking in the crotch area (well, just below it), as is mine. Look at the smooth area just below the abs armor, and between the inner thigh plates on the pic with the flash....see how dark & shiny it is? Thats the oil also.

You know, I'm looking at it ... and ... it REALLY does not look bad to me. This is the only flaw that I don't seem to have a problem with. I wonder, is it extremely noticeable or is it more one of those "you can kind of see it but not really" sorts of things?

The residue seems to make the armor more black, looks quite different from the rest of the armor plates, which in theory, should all look alike.

Under normal display circumstances, it's really not that noticeable, I tend to agree. I'm more concerned if it would cause deterioration of that area of the suit either by leaving it there or trying to wipe it off.
crOws problem looks to be more pronounced than mine, I might add.

Yeah, I understand your concern about it causing deterioration; that's why I asked either yesterday or the day before if the oil leakage was corrosive (meaning it will eat away at the armor and provide for discoloration).

And BTW Karnis, I just peeped your collection; it has to be the most awesome (and maturely displayed) cornucopia of awesomeness that I have ever laid eyes upon. Just thought I'd give you a thumbs up for the very cool display!

I contacted Eric about a different collectible the other day and in the post script I asked about DX Batman just for the heck of it. He said he expects to ship them out in early February - likely first week of the month. I'm fairly envious of you Canadian collectors (looking at you, Geil!) who get to examine the improved figure in-hand probably this week.

That kinda dashes my hopes of it shipping this week, but hey, what's a week or so after waiting this long, right?

For those who are buying from Toys2, you're like our 'man on the street'. Bringing us the info.

I'm not sure if this was asked before, but what does this odd oily discharge from the rubber suit smell like?

Just got the news from my Beijing Buddy: It is looking like a late February/Early March shipment receipt for him; so that means that I will get mine in March probably. Just in time for my birthday

So, my (trusted) seller, seems to have the second batch! as of January 24th. But I'm kinda (in lack of a better word) afraid to jump on this...
All of these problems have already gotten me to prioritize elsewhere and am still kinda doubtful over the fact that, has all the problems been corrected.
Don't really know which way to go now??? Maybe I should just wait and see + I'm kinda slowly leaning toward the option that maybe one Batman (oc) is enough for me?

Has anyone else got this info?
Is the second batch out?
Any problems with it?

Thanks! One of these days I need to update those pics to reflect my recent additions.

BTW I got a reply from HT, they said to try & wipe off the back of the belt, & if that doesnt do it, send them pics & receipt for replacment.
I checked the belt before & it's dry as a bone. Going to prep for a replacement I guess.

most deffo...OC bats is perfect...this new DX is such a mess with problems that i and many others have held off from buying it. when i spend £150 on a figure i expect it to be perfect not worrying that his head might be mishapen or that he wees himself every few hours just for the sake of a backpack, moving eyes and different faces. once i find a pose i like i hardly change it..the spare sonar head, backpack and extra mouth sculpts wud simply go in the draw in my desk

Well I took a chance and pre-ordered this figure for $149. The guy said it will ship in June, which I don't mind as long as Hot Toys gets all the kinks out.

I still like the OC costume the best. Since I'm a Hot Toys newbie, I had to buy one on ebay for $307 last week...I guess they are very popular.

I have a different take on the Dlx vs original. I have the original suit Batman, TDK and the Dlx TDK. Perhaps if I had the problems reported, I may have a different opinion but the Dlx Batman is superior even to a really, really good original Batman. Scale, accessories, sculpt etc. it is a better figure IMO.

I am the reverse of most folks with the problem with the original suit not the Dlx suit. My figures are in a Deltolf in my media room not exposed to harsh conditions or light and the original suit looks dried out. I have over 30 figures and that one is the only one with a problem It is a shame because it is a really great figure.

Unless Geil or anyone else goes in the shop the day these arrive at Toys2, I imagine they'll start shipping as soon as the figure comes in, just like Joker, though maybe a small ammount comes in first like Joker and not all orders go out.

I'm ready for mine to ship, hopefully, should be, in the first batch he ships out.
