Nope, no email, but I got to thinking, even though they got them in, since you can open the box without removing the figure, I wonder if they're going through the figures to give a quick glance and make sure things look ok at least from a tray view before they go out, they are aware there were issues with the first batch so it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to do a little extra customer service checking them quickly before shipping out.

when I got there and opened my DX02 it was Eric's 4th and so far so good He was worried

OK some quick impressions:
- PERS is extremely easy and smooth to move, less force needed, less likely to break
- Rubber suit definitely stays clean a lot easier, after all the handeling still nothing stuck to it, my V1 totally different story
- Rubber suits fits better than V1 and has even better definition of the individual plates thorugh added thickness
- backpack will NOT fit V1 without modification as the the clips on in the backpack match only the newer, slightly smaller shoulderblades
- graphite pattern is much nicer throughout the suit
- ears are longer than V1
- rubber in abs area has been somehow stiffened (thicker?) reducing the embarrassing gutt that showed up in certain posistions on V1
- cape is better and longer but nothing beats the custom one
- that sticky bomb gun is sooo nice!

I finally found out where oil came from, it was the belt. Belt was manufacturing the oil. Every time I wipe it, it appears again next day.
I completely wiped the oil on belt and now I think it will be okay. I got the first batch DX dark knight and luckily there is no peeling so far.

I also pre-orderd one on toys2 last year. Does anyone think its worth getting two?

I already have Takara batman, hot toys original batman, TDK dark knight and DX dark knight except medicom I won't get that.

Did you receive DX dark knight in sealed box or without it? Did Eric open it and inspect it before you buy?

it was sealed (every thing I pick up from him has been sealed by factory) and we did the unboxing together. Well he was his normal self and I was all giddy and jumping up and down

I'm glad you are happy with it. It is an awesome figure. Do you think I should get another one if its defect-free? How much did you pay for it?

When I took out the belt there was a lot of oil on the front side only around the belly. You should take out the belt and clean it. It will help.

personally, i find the eyes on the dx really weird looking. the pupils are too big. makes him look a bit stoned.

the light-up sonar eyes are great though...

It's funny how the cowl and neck is black yet the entire suit has a blue-y/grey look under an extreme bright light as the flash. Of course you'll never notice that under regular viewing but even still the suit isn't black. Only the head and neck is. Yes I know v1 has the same issue... so why exactly is it like this? you can see the huge differences in colours from heads to body.

I never could work out why the straps have a blue tinge to them.

Thanks guys. Well I am having sone trouble with my home network not loading sideshows website but too tired to troubleshoot it so I am on my iPhone dataplan to just type this up. I try to take more pictures tomorrow. Btw I found some residue on my second DX02 which does seem to be from the belt wrapping.
