Only shots I've seen so far where you can get an actual idea of the overall size of the new DX TDK Batman.

To me at least, the overall size of the figure is considerably slimmer, when you have a proper context and point of reference. Hopefully more comparison pics will come out soon.

That's the thing. I was looking at my TDK figure yesterday, and from views like the official HT pics, some of the shapes look the same, but yet in the new DX pics, the head proportion to everything is much improved, so while the DX follows similar body shapes, I think the overall proportion is much improved, but only having photos of the figure by itself, we have no context to tell just what size truly this figure is. If there were shots of him standing beside BR Joker or Two-Face or any figure we have in hand to compare to, I think we'd find DX more improved than it may seem, it's not perfect and some minor adjustments could take it even further, but I think it's better than we might think when seeing it alone.

This one is much more nicer and at a more accurate length. May be a bit longer, but lays better and looks better.

Nope. When I think of the new suit. I want the screen accurate cape. The long cape defeats the entire purpose he switched to the new suit in the film. Functionality.

Be cool if it comes with 2, but if it comes with the long, it'd be nice if the attaching method is the same as the first figure so I can swap capes if I like.

I'd imagine so. The plastic thingymabob looks like it clips into the empty area where the cape lugs would normally go.

Well I'm just not sure if the tighter custuming meant a change in the space for the cape to attach into, so if it's too small for the clips off the old cape you're out of luck.

I was going by these. I know they used more than one cape size (short for the fighting), but this one sticks with me more.

Two capes is a good idea. The shorter cape didn't have the bat wing design did it?

GEEEZ.. as I have stated long ago. Having a long cape is essential for a modern batman... if u want a shorter cape.. go like superman .....


Functionality? it doesn't affect the functionality at all unless it's too BIG instead of LONG. yes some promo pics have the shorter cape but remember the promo pic where he was on top of the cop car.. THAT SCENE WAS NOT EVEN IN THE GODDAMNED MOVIE!! If you watch the movie again, and if you watch promo shots... most of the time he'd have a longer cape... which flows much better and u know what... batman should have a cape that could "cloak"/cover himself. and the new suit allows him to put the cape behind or to cover his body if needed to....


So.. the longer cape is the way to go buddy... not a shorter cape =.=. .. we DONT want a 60's batman

Like a lot of you I am disappointed with this Batman DX fig. The cowl and face sculpts are pretty great tho it does look a lil long and narrow in some shots. But the suit is a real disappoint for me. I expected perfection from Hot Toys. It really doesn't look a lot better/different from their 1st attempt. Medicom really has done a great representation of recreating the suit. Fair play to them. I'm still angry they designed the MMS Joker and Batman's too early before they had the correct source materials. A lot of people were stung and I haven't forgotten it even some have. It has made me a wary buyer and I'm going to have to sit on this. It really wouldn't surprise if they do release another stab at the suit when the third is eventually made.

Make the changes Hot Toys. Close isn't good enough.

Yes totally agree with you on this. Of course I Love Hottoys but it's just inexcusable when it is their SECOND attempt + they have the medicom figure AND TONS OF PICS FROM THIS FORUM (heck they don't even need to do their own research) for this figure.


That's wht kinda make me wonder they have NO EXCUSE to not make changes

I would like a longer cape. Dragging on the ground. Also, pointier ears and longer feet. More protruding kneecaps
