Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I could be the only person on the planet who hated the Pirate movies. I tried watch the first one and fell asleep the first 20 minutes into it.

Not a fan of those movies myself

Got my Supes. Looks pretty good. I had a little spot of the perspiration rub on mines forehead. I was able to fix this with a little very light rubbing with the corner of a folded over piece of 2000 grit sandpaper. It's about 85% gone now, so you can't really notice it. You have to be patient and very light, cause you don't want to rub through to the plastic. I imagine this would work on Bruce Wayne too. The point is to scuff up the rub so that it blends in better. Fine grit sandpaper will do that without removing much paint, cause it's used for various stages of polishing painted surfaces, like polishing a model car.

So, there's your tip for the day.

Although if I had to choose, I would be more comfortable with the hair dryer method, since I don't really want to submerge the base in water :D

Sorry i though the piece was the one with problem, and i think it can work both ways, but is a good alternative for removing the hands of the figure or those sideshows ones that comes with a tight articulation :monkey3

Anyone have trouble assembling the fortress base? Seems like none of the crystals fit like they are supposed to on mine. Any tips would be appreciated :)

Read back a few pages, think some ppl mentioned using a hair dryer on the base before assembling the crystals.

I was skeptical of it, but tried it and it worked like a charm. Crystals are in nice and tight now.

I'm starting to think that this is the best figure ever made.
What say you, Arnold?

Damn.

It is an amazing figure, though. I got mine today, and it does not disappoint. I do have a small shiny spot on his head, though, and some glue looking residue around the outside of his S-symbol.

I hate that I'm considering e-mailing Sideshow, but when you've got a grail figure this basic and expensive, little things like that seem to really matter.

For $226 shipped, I'd say he should be perfect. You should e-mail them.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Wow! I can't believe how thin the shipping box was for this thing. And the layers of hard plastic just to get to the figure. My S shield was slightly off center but was an easy fix to nudge center.

Just try to remember, it's always best to keep the male part hard and to soften the female part. :monkey3

Just tracked my package and it was received at my parents in Hawaii, but damn I'm in Colorado on a trip.
