Nice to see people still jumping on this and enjoying him. It's hard to pick a favorite with so many great sets, but this is easily in my top 5. I never get sick of this guy. The engineering and posibility aren't things you see all the time. The just don't make stuff like this often. Even the Obadiah sculpt is great and has a better likeness than half of the releases over the past 2 years.

I had him posed with the sculpt showing and MK III BD EX crushed helmet for a long time; I just reposed him in full Monger mode and got fresh batteries this week. Fell in love all over again!



Congrats! That's a great price for a MISB. Only a little over retail. There aren't many even available on The Bay, and the ones that are are all $600-$800+

Thanks guys! I love this guy. Easily one of the top 3 Hot Toys has ever made IMO. Menacing, awesome shelf presence. I do think mine has the small hip cracks even though he's new but I really don't care. Like Pop mentioned, it makes almost no difference. Would love it if he (and other IM figs maybe) had a remote for the lights like the Bat Armory. Would be awesome to be able to turn them on without taking him out of the case.

I do have another tall shelf on that Billy, likely for Igor so they'd be displayed on top of one another and not take away from Monger with Igor's height difference.

I've checked eBay & I'm pleased to say that I can get this figure cheaper than if I was to have bought it from Sideshow's website when they were selling it, it's new too (& there are quite a few out there)..., it's still not cheap though but it is big so that's understandable, I'm in ponder mode now as to whether I want to spend £360.00 on this. Tempted & not. lol

Yeah, aftermarket on this beast is a real puzzle. If you have the cash to spare, I'd jump on it, kev. Just a beautiful figure, IMO, with some really impressive presence in-hand.

The cheapest I've found it is in Italy, there will be no import charges as it's within the European Union so that's always a plus..., I always get undecided when spending a lot on 1 figure, it's far nicer when I do the preorder thing & just pay it off monthly..., the cost doesn't bother me that much then once it's dealt with in small chunks. lol

I did originally want it but had decided to stick to just Iron Man suits, it only more recently occurred to me that I'd technically not stuck to that by getting War Machine 2.0 & Iron Patriot so that put Iron Monger back on my radar again..., I'm leaning towards making a purchase so think I'll just go buy it now before I talk myself out of it again. lol

Supply and demand. Right now is the time to pick this up. In two years it'll be hard to find it for under 750 IMO. e.g. there are over 20 available on ebay now, but once that number falls below 10, watch out, prices will skyrocket.

What I like most about this pic is the amazing paint apps on this. Here, the Monger looks like it's made of metal/steel.

Yea the paint on this is superb. It's one of HT's finest. Even the texture is great. No need to Diecast this bad boy. He's perfect. I need to snap more pics of him!

Diecast would be silly for this thing. It would be overly and unnecessarily heavy unless they just made portions in diecast (a la Robocop), which I don't really see the point behind

All of their diecast figures only have some metal parts, about 40% I believe. Bit of a cheek saying it's diecast when it's not entirely accurate..., I don't think they'll come back to this one & give it even the partial treatment though, I guess time will tell though (I've opted for the current available version so won't be interested in another).

Im so amazed by this figure. Just picked it up. Wasn't going to, just had a obadiah custom and figured that would satisfy me but since whiplash 2.0 is coming I know side by side with monger would be a jaw dropping sight. I had to snag him up. Not dissapointed one bit. To hold him yourself and set him up with your collection is an awesome experience and feeling to have. If your on the fence about this one.....you need to get off that fence quick and go buy it!!!

It looks like it was glued on at one point but the glue dried and it fell off. The box and shipper where still sealed so it's just a factory defect, I hope. Anywho, I wanna glue it back on him but I have no idea where it goes. Anyone know where this piece goes. Thanks.

Nevermind. I figured it out it was a small piece near the back of his neck. Glued it back on good as new.
