Wow, I just checked. This didn't appreciate in price very much. It's selling at $350-$550 USD.
I thought it would be somewhere in the $800's by now.

Back when the BD MKVII went on sale i asked my Brother to order me another one. When they came in, i traded that one for a MISB Iron Monger. But the BD MKVII had huge appeal at the time, and the Monger had been bought for way more than the $294 i had paid for the MKVII.

Something to look for fellas... in case you haven't already discovered from reading through this thread, there is potential to have cracks at the hip joints. Ask the seller to investigate and possibly send pics.

I wouldn't buy this thing from a seller listing it as unopened and still sealed direct from Hot Toys. Happy hunting!

Awesome score! Yeah, it's a great example of supply and demand. I thought for sure there would be much more appeal in the Iron Monger, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

All I know is, it's a nicely detailed piece with great paint app, endless posing options, and a decent sculpt of Jeff Bridges.

What are your thoughts on the 1/9 scale King Arts Version?

I'm considering purchasing the 1/9 scale because I sold my HT Monger due to the size. The 1/9 would be perfect, but I have a terrible eye for proportions. Curious what others opinions are on it.

Sorry for the bump of an old thread, but I figured this would be the best place to ask rather than make a new thread.

Need some help. I've got the Iron Monger and of course the Obidah Stane headsculpt that comes with it. I was hoping to do a custom figure of Obidah but don't know how I should proceed.

What kind of body should I get? He definitely wasn't skinny in the movie, as in built like all the bodies are out of the box. He was more chubby. I was thinking of trying to purchase a HT Tron Kevin Flynn to use as a body hoping that the body styles would match.

Also, what clothes should I put him in? As I did research on the web, everyone that's made a custom Obidah has put him in a black suit like the ZY Toys black suit. Does anybody make a 1/6 outfit similar to what he wore before he got into the Iron Monger. A tux and a scarf would be a sweat look as well. Any recommendations?

Another thing I thought of, the headsculpt needs a bigger plug to fit on a regular body. Is there an exact part that would fit or is it just any generic 1/6 neck adapter.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Checkmate.

He's a big dude, but you can get away with long pegs for that.
He wears beige, dark blue and pinstripe in the movie, along with the tux and his civvies when he gets in the armour.
You could go with any suit that looks bespoke. Just make sure and get a flamboyant tie.
I'd go with a body like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-6-scale-...049114?hash=item542d0c891a:g:igoAAOSw-RRXDRW9
You will also need one of the following(Your own preference of which):

Bumping a worthy thread to post pics of my new purchase. Been looking for this figure for a long time and finally got one at what I considered to be a reasonable price. The pics are not good quality, but the love is still there :)

You didn't need to embed your pics into a 'Spoiler'. We all know what it looks like. :)

Congrats on an awesome figure and thanks for sharing pics! :duff

Same here...bought an Iron Monger from Yodasan(excellent seller BTW)....BEAUTIFUL FIGURE!!!.. To previous owners...is this figure stable enough to sit on top of a Detolf without falling from it? it does not come with a stand, but just wanted some input on it.

Thanks in advance for your replies....

I have mine on my desk, as I have somewhat low ceiling in my office and can't fit him on top of the detolf. I personally wouldn't put him up that high anyway, regardless. The fear of him falling, even if unlikely, is too jarring. I bump into my desk a lot and he's never wavered, if that helps you. He'll shake a little but never has fallen.
