Is that all you can come up with? A chump move is a chump move, I'd be ragging on anyone who would have done this, it just happened to be this guy.

Oh and Bannister is not a Laker fan so there goes your theory.

what theory?, i didnt say all Laker fans, and you guys will take any tiny thing and turn it into Lebron being a little ^^^^^. i could care less, its just funny how all Laker fans call everyone else haters when they hate on their team, yet they turn stories that have absolutely no meaning into some big breaking story

Nobody is making it into a BIG story, I just thought it was funny that this dude is so insecure that he has to ask someone to take all of the tapes with this on it. I mean come on, who in the NBA hasn't been dunked on? Seems like if it doesn't make it look good, then he doesn't want anything to do with it and like I said, had Dwayne Wade or Tim Duncan or Dwight Howard done this I'd be calling them a chump too.

No it's just the fact everybody calls him King James (king of what who knows) or the greatest when he just started in the NBA. when ALL of the greats had to work their asses off to be greatest Like Jordan, Bird, Magic, Dr. J and even Kobe. Plus he's a role model for kids and acts like a ass by Not shaking hand to the guys on the other team who fought for it more than he did (that's why there called winners) or Cry to his shoe company when Some youngster who slams on you....basic he need to grow up then maybe I will respect him as a player..and as man but until then he a ASS!!!
Oh and I respect Players Like Dwayne Wade, Tim Duncan, and Dwight Howard cuase they are great players and have good sportsmanship.

the lebron getting dunked on is too funny...

but lets not kid ourselves, "King" James is just a nickname no different than everyone calling Kobe "the next Jordan" for years and years and years. Get over yourselves.

no different? i don't remember Kobe getting a Nike contract before he ever played a pro game. No one gave him a nick name like "king" either. Every big time player with a nick name earned it first.

By the way this is not to take away from Lebron's skills, he's a great player obviously but he's been given way too much way too early.

1. the media treatment of LeBron James is due to timing and the spiraling nature of celebrity and the NBA addiction to youth and "potential" over proven collegiate success.
2. Kobe Bryant along with Kevin Garnett, Darius Miles and Kwame Brown pshed the envelope being early entrants themselves and "opened the door for LeBron to be a #1 pick. Also, don't underestimate the natural attention given to any #1 pick compared to #8 or whatever Kobe was at the time.
3. Kobe Bryant along with the likes of Harold Miner, J.R. Rider, and Vince Carter share blame for being hyped up themselves being compared to Jordan with the first few years of playing.
4. "King" is just a nickname that happens to fit with the last name "James", I don't think it connotates anything more than any other nickname given to any one else. It can be said that "Kobe" is in itself one of the most unique labels (and over used) so thats why he never really received his own nickname, almost like "Larry" "Pele" "Melo" or "MJ". The use of simply his first name is a powerful icon label that signifies incredible hype...and this started pretty much right out of the gates.

in answer to number 2. there was Shawn Kemp before any of those other names quoted.

you right about the "brand" of Kobe but a nickname of king - wheter it works or not - when coming out of high shcool is ridiculous. I've never liked the "next Jordan" tag on any player. I think it cheapens that player - who the wants to be then next Joran when they can be the first *insert name here*?

The over hyping of any player before they have proved themselves is lame and i don't like it for any player whether they are on the Lakers or any other team for that matter.

So let's please get this straight once and for all......I give 'King" james crap because of an underserved nickname and not because I hate him or because he's not on the Lakers. Earn the nickmane and i'll shut up, it's as simple as that.

Truth!!

So what exactly justifies "King" to you? Nobody, NOBODY can ever truly be the King of basketball when you have Wilt, Magic, Larry and Jordan first.

Therefore, whether you care to admit or not you're just focusing your hate behind an arbitrary nickname that had his last name been Johnson or Anderson or something would never have come into relation to begin with. IMO you guys hating the nickname IS just a method to express the "hate" the same as I use Kobe's rape accusation.

Also, I don't think the "King" nickname really got rolling till about 3 years ago and by then he was an MVP candidate.

"Truth"

Edit. Its just a nickname. I know its probably harder to get over than say, Your favorite player being accused of rape, but try. :lol

I used to like Lebron, but lately he seems to conduct himself like an arrogant prick.

I think he started believing his own hype, but yeah he is coming off that way now.

I also can't stand his look at me chalk routine bull^^^^. Jordan did something with the chalk but at least what he did was funny, clapping it in Red Kerr's face before every game.

Ugh, yeah that ^^^^ is annoying.

I used to laugh my ass off when Jordan would do that in his face, 'cause like you said it was funny.

i'll let him have his king nickname when he wins a championship, but until then he should not be called king. Oh being an MVP doesn't get you "king" status, we don't call Nowitzki "furor" :lol

I know you really want to pin "hater" on me and while you're right about no one person being the "king" of basketball, i can handle the king nickname once he has earned it. As you say it's just a nickname - but you still have to earn it.

I am loving that Nike is now saying they had a no video rule but didnt do anything about the people filming last 3 days before Lebron got dunked on. Plus Nike refuses to send anyone the written policy stating no filming.

What an Arrogant POS he and the company that backs him

The video being taken is lame. I think far more is being made of his nickname though than should be. Who gives a damn what they call him. I think folks are looking more into it than what they need.

I know the point was made earlier but Kobe got a lot of press early well before he deserved it. Not to mention the reason he's in LA is he forced the Hornets to trade him. Said he wouldn't play for them back in the day. Plus he's had other issues so the guys not perfect either.
