I think he means he doesn't want to tell people what to do regarding work they may have recruited someone to do already.

Personally, if I was only at the preliminary stages of a custom I would scrap it immediately, these look that good to me. But some people are pickier and have deeper pockets than I do.

Also, who knows what a final product a year from now will look like.

Seems like everybody's got the same shots! I did manage to get a decent closeup on the trap and pack on the 12"...

hey wor, how do u mean on this Not sure its good form to suggest what others might do whom are already involved in that project ???

thanks

Yeah, what Prog said above is what I meant. I've been in the situation where I'm knee-deep in a custom and suddenly a mass-produced figure is offered. And you just go "Ugh".

ahh right, well it is ok to discuss the customs i maybe having done as the guy already mssged me and mentioned whether iwanted to still have them done etc,and he said hes totaly cool if i decide not to. i jst thought tho that i wanted them for so long from him, and now these are out, both sets iwll be very different, and like i mentioned, ifi got a set of the mattels to kit bash, then that be cool, id have 2 custom sets, both diffrent.

yeah totally...and im an ass as im such an indecisive person ahah. i have so many versions of the same fig, and have done so in the past, bought various versions. and like isay i was guna get these customs made up using totaly different heads, so then when thses mattels come out i will def want to have a set to kitbash them aswel, and use the chris h heads i got my name down for!! so that way ill have 2 sets totally different, and to me both id personally love, its jst 1 wud be more accurate slightly than the other.

am i crazy or jst obsessed with collecting lol :gun

But Stanz is waaaaay too skinny. This ain't Elwood Blues.

But it's not Elwood Blues circa "Blues Brothers 2000" either.

"Modern" Aykroyd is heavy, "vintage" Aykroyd was thin but he was very average in both "Ghostbusters" films (there was definitely a transitional period) and I think both figures represent that well.

The "Real Ghostbusters" portrayal of Ray was a bit of a caricature in that respect. Granted, pretty much everything about those characters was either extremely exaggerated or intentionally unrecognizable to avoid paying likeness rights but it's not like Aykroyd was substantially out of shape in these movies.

I can 4 haz cheezburgerz?

Based on that pic, they have him to chunky in the cheeks, but not enough gut.

I think they are using the same body for both Egon and Ray. WHich I hope they only did for the sake putting up a mock up. Ray should not be the same body as Egon.

sweet!! i'll probably be buying all that crap. finally some high-end GB collectibles based on the films and not the cartoons. bring em on i say.:rock

It's easy to see the flaws in photos but I have to say these were really impressive in person. Pretty much everyone who walked past while I was snapping pics was saying "Oh S#1T!" when they saw them. In a good way. :)

yeah they look awsome. im def guna try buy 2 of each. 1 to open and 1 to keep boxed.

so we knw fmr the press releasre the 12"ers are window boxes, what ppls thoughts on the 6" pakcaging?? id personaly like to see something like the neca cult classics and other gb boxes. i like those packaging styles.

and price, whats ppls guesses for the 12" and 6"??

u think the 12" will be more than $100?

A fat suit might be enough to satisfy me, as long as the clothes allow for it.

I think the price issue is a crap shoot at this point, since we have no idea what Mattel might charge for something like this, but since they charge $20 for those He-Man toys, I would guess at least $50, but less than $100.

yeah a fat suit may work, esp if the flight suit is pretty loose on the fig. altho he might llook too fat..and he aint hugely overweight in the movie.

and yeah i knw its real early for prices, was jst curious really. what have mattels latest 12" ranges been going for? the good stuff imean, not the barbie type stuff

Good idea with the fat suit!

As for price, I'm hoping that whatever they are each, that there's a 'deal' if you purchase all 4 at once! :D

Thats true, though he wasn't Spies Like Us either yet. but that sculpted figure is definately a bit to svelt, shall we say? Luckily it don't matter too much on the 12".
