i might buy acouple of each so ican customise them, i might paint sum slime or some white paint on ray for slime or marshallow look ahaha.

An issue of Toyfare from about two months ago had an interview with some of the line's producers. Apparently, they intend to release multiple variants of the four main characters, and they gave as examples green slimed, red slimed (from GBII), covered in marshmallow, wearing lab coats, in Ghostbusters II uniforms, and with scared facial expressions. It sounds to me like they intend to milk those figure molds for every cent they can get from fans.

As a result, I've decided to limit myself to the 12-inch line exclusively. One figure every two months I can live with. Besides, I'm pretty much done with action figures, anyway.

New ad included in the GB Video game!!
Old pics, but can't wait!! :rock!!

These are the 6" figures right? They look great!

thanks for that el skutto, yeah after re-reading i did remember seeing that wen the figs were 1st announced, about variants. i think if the variants are gud enough and have major differences like new face sculpts then i will prob be a sucka and get em. esp if they do both the guys in gb 1 and 2 uniforms.

and yeah i wana see the 12" sculpts 2!!

i think if the head sculpts are really good, there cud be some awsome custom gb figures out there, if ppl aint happy with the 12" outfit etc

These are long overdue! About time we will get a Bill murray sculpt since he was one of the reasone why Neca never pursued the second series of their line. The great thing is that the Four Hoursemen have done the sculps for the 6" line. Don't know who did them for the 12" though.

Wasn't one of the Egon's displayed one of those "2-up" figures, though? If so, that could be a 200% scale version of the 6 incher, that we may never actually have a chance to buy.

You're correct, the ones displayed at NYCC were the 2-ups...
I think they also had an unpainted prototype of Egon

Mattel's in house sculptors are making the 12" sculpts... which is a bit of a bummer, but I'll wait to see them before I pass judgement...

Interesting choice to go with in house sculptors. Would it have been easier to just use the sculpts from the 6" instead?

While I really like the Four horseman sculpts for the 6" figures, IMO they are more of a "caricature" of the characters than a hard real life likeness of of the actors as portrayed in Ghostbusters. But I'd be lying if I said I think we'll be getting that from the Mattel in-house team. :lol

But the cloth uniforms on the prototypes looked pretty good and the equipment looked detailed and ambitous. So I'm hoping we will at the very least get a killer starting point for refined customizations.

totaly,i think if the outfits that come with the 12" figs are lame in quakity and detail, but the head sculpts are gud, then it will be fun to make up a custom set of our own that we are all happy with, and iknw the fig that was previewed was only a test 1, there was plenty on the costume that needed changing for my own taste, and the boots needed to be leather, so that would be something iddef do for my own set. but i cant wait to see what they do with the figs.

the packaging shud be cool aswel.

and did they say the 12"ers are guna be sumthing like $60 every othr month?

is it only the first 6" figure(s) that are expected for sometime in july or the 12" ones aswell? i'm only really interested in the 12" ones but was expecting to see an updated prototype by now if they were to be released that soon. i'm guessing they wont be out just yet?

I thought i read somewhere that they are still having problems with bill murray signing off on his likeness? If that's true i'm not getting any of these.

Yeah i think if they are having trouble with bill signing off then he obviously isnt happy with his sculpt yet. so if they dont get a venkman fig approved then the others will be cancelled, they wont release the other 3 without a venkman.

io want to get a couple of each of the 6"ers, so ican open and display 1 and have 1 left in the box. im stupid like that aha

Murray is picky, but they'll get the rights...
And even if they don't, I'd rather have at least 3 great looking GB figures than none...

I don't think so, Mattel has already invested too much money on this to not release the other 3 even without Venkman...
