The egon 6 inch figure ia cool and normally i'd never go near that scale. Im surprised at the level of detail on him actually even his glasses are adjustable. I think this is probably the first time id ever pass on a 12 inch figure over a 6 inch one. Can't wait to see what they will do with the ectomobile

I'm getting my 6" Egon with Slimer this Wednesday. I hope Mattel actually DOES make the Ectomobile in scale with their 6" figures. We'll see...

Here's my attempt at a custom proton stream. It was fairly easy to make, ya can't really screw up something so random and chaotic, and I think it gives the figures a little punch in display. The red isn't perfect, but I don't think the yellow acrylic would've stood out very well. I may pick some yellow rods up and give them a try though. Can't wait to have the whole team blasting away at Stay Puft!

The Stream looks great man. It should especially cool when you've got two Ghostbusters streaming a ghost.

Great work! What did you make the proton stream out of? I'd like to try it with my Egon when I get him this week. Very cool! :D

Thanks guys. it was a tough call, cause the stream itself is unquestionably yellow, but the glow about it is very red...so there wasn't a perfect choice. I probably will order some yellow rods at some point just to satisfy my curiosity and see how they look. They're cheap.

These are what I used. Acrylic rods used for various craft purposes. I used the 3/32" red ones and the 1/16" blue.

They're really easy to work with. I sorta messed up one rod getting the hang of it, but after one practice one, it wasn't very difficult. I just use a tea candle to heat up the area I want to bend and gently bend it how I like. Then you can dip it into warm water or, what I did, hold it in place and blow on it to freeze the plastic again. And used a metal pin to attach it to the wand. So the proton stream can pop in and out easily. And I used another small metal pin segment to pop together the proton stream and the 'capture stream' around Slimer. It's probably not very noticeable in the pictures, but it's sorta ugly in person..but I didn't know of any other way to connect them.

Thanks again guys. I'd been excited to put it together and was eagerly waiting for my acrylic rods to arrive in the mail, it's been cool to finally put it together.

I finally broke down and decided to order Egon... sold out :monkey2 Guess I should have been paying more attention :lol

Oh well, I'm sure I'll be able to get one.

I have an extra Egon I ordered in case someone missed out. let me know if you still want it.

Not quite the same in quality as the acrylic rod pics or in appearance but defintely a good substitute for the steams is the following. All i need to get is yellow too and add it to the red and it will do the trick hopefully. By the way irony of egon crossing the streams himself noted..

I don't really buy this scale either... but I'm actually digging the idea of updated 80's figures and these will go nicely with the TMNT and MOTUC figures :rock
